El Salvador
Great spot to overland for a couple of days. Kitchen, pool, bathrooms, showers, walking distance to the beach and restaurants. There is a family that lives here and they are so nice and caring. Lupita can do your laundry for a couple of bucks and you'll be helping her out. We stayed here for a couple of days with our 3 dogs, we took surfing lessons from Karlo (AWESOME instructor) bought tamales from Lupita's mom and overall had a great time.

Things have been changing in this area. The main gate was open and I walked by the river/beach to get to talk to the staff who informed they no longer receive overlanders, looks like it has been a while that the comments here already indicated this future end. Talked to a lady that worked here and she said she doesn't have permission to allow people camping anymore. After that I received a call from a man that I had tried to reach before and he told me in a rude way that they don't accept camping anymore and he just put up the phone while I was speaking. I highly recommend Surfers Inn, closest to Sunzal surf break and super friendly. Just got here 🤙
Report Check-Inle prix est de 6$ par personne pour pour poser une tente pour une nuit

we want to stay but left. on the place you could stay with a motorhome they burned garbage. the whole place is totally run down. and we travelled since 4 years trouh whole south America.
Report Check-InWe stayed here for two nights in our small camper for $5 per person, per night. Good location right next to the town. Felt safe and secure with the chance to meet others staying in the hostel. Bathroom leaves a lot to be desired but we don’t mind so much. Unfortunately, We didn’t have any interaction with the family as mentioned in previous posts, we are thinking perhaps it’s under new ownership.
Report Check-InAbsolutely wonderful place. The family who manage the space are incredibly welcoming and kind. They don't speak any English but they are super patient with Google translate. They really go above and beyond. There's grass and paved parking. Bathrooms and showers are a little dirty but only because of the iron in the water here. Edwin, the husband, used to be a mechanic and can tinker and fix most mechanical problems. He changed our spark plugs, and changed oil and diesel filters, brakes, and helped modify a camper on our friend's rig. Lupe makes incredible pupusas, which they prepare free of charge for those who want every Sunday. Less than 10 minutes walking to the best surf spot around, it's all pedestrian too, no need to walk on busier roads. We were so sad to leave, and really hope to be back.
Report Check-InThe entrance is through the main road, it is a yellow gate. There are no signs. We had a very good experience here. The family that takes care of the place is very kind. We paid 6 dollars (2 people + car). We highly recommend this place. We stayed 3 nights.
Report Check-InAwesome spot!!!...lupe and her family are adorable. We were very comfortable here. Showers, bathrooms, kitchen, swimming pool, wifi, and overall a nice quite place to spend some days. It’s very close from the beach and the surf spot. Also Lupe’s husband can do any maintenance on the van if necessary. Payed 6$us for our van and two of us.
Report Check-InStayed here for a couple of nights. It’s a great place with 2 big common area, a kitchen, bathrooms and a swimming. It used to be an old surf hard factory, hence the name. Lupe and her family are very friendly. It’s an awesome place because it’s 5 minute walk to everything but you’re not sleeping in the middle of town. If interested in surf lessons, Carlos is our guy! 🏄🏻♀️🏄🏻♂️
