Super friendly girl at the Ranger station. She was happy to welcome us, explained everything and we were allowed to stay either at this entrance station or inside the park at the picnic area (we have toilet and kitchen). At the station there is toilet and Wi-Fi, but we decided to stay inside the park because the surroundings are a bit nicer. Neither at the ranger station nor inside there is wind protection and windy it was indeed! While hiking the next morning we struggled to walk against the wind. The hikes are easy and the landscape is beautiful, we saw Guanacos, Nandus and fox. We paid 5500 CLP pp entrance. Great place!
Report Check-InNice Welcoming
You need to arrive between 8:30 an 19:30
You can buy the tickets for the next day and they let you stay there in the parking. With access to starlink and toilets.
Be nice and take your trash and dirt water with you.
We arrived there in the morning but the Ranger told us that it’s possible to camp with a camper in the national park over night. At the entrance are facilities, but no drinking water. The wind protection at the camp place inside of the park looked semi.
Report Check-Inaccording to the ranger who spoke good english, staying at the parking lot overnight is no more allowed
Report Check-InVery nice place to stay before or after visiting Pali Aike. Camping in the park is not allowed, but the rangers said sleeping here was okay. Had a nice long talk with the rangers who gave me the WiFi before they left for the night. Bathroom open all night. Depending on the direction of the wind, the ranger station may provide some shelter. For me, the wind fell still during the night, resulting in a deafening silence in the morning. You're utterly alone here, safe for tons of guanaco's, rabbits, armadillos, foxes, rheas and birds; it's incredible. Great sunset and sunrise once again. Cold though; when I awoke there was ice on the inside of my van! Note that the park is closed from april to august. Additionally, when I left at 10 am no park ranger had shown up, despite the park opening at 08:30 am, so access may be a bit ambivalent!
Report Check-Inwe arrived late around 21.30 fromme Ushuaia in a sunday. The Gate to the rangerhouse was closed so we had to park our van beide the road. A signe advises the opening hours as following: Marres to Domingo 08.30 till 19.30
Report Check-InThe park is open. Price 4,500 Pesos Chilean per person. We were able to pay in Argentinian pesos. 2250 pesos For 2 adults, the children did not pay.
le parc est ouvert. prix 4500 pesos chilien par personne. nous avons pu payer en pesos argentins. 2250 pesos pour 2 adultes, les enfants n’ont pas payé.
Report Check-InSimple parking lot, toilet open all night, no real wind protection, except from the building if the wind direction is right. Park ranger was friendly and told us it was ok. Guanacos everywhere! Nice sunset.
Report Check-InNothing special but good place to park before or after going to the park.
Banos opened all night long / no shower.
Parking inside seems not allowed anymore.
Report Check-InBeautiful place. Rangers will let you camp for free and you can use the toilets. There is some wind protection from a fence. View of guanacos from the tent :-)
Report Check-InPerfect and free spot to sleep in your car/tent. Toilets open all day/night. Nice hiking trails in the park. You can only sleep inside the park if you have a toilet in your camper.
Guanacos everywhere :D
Great site to spend the night before or after visiting the park. Sleep in your car or tent. Toilets open all night. No potable water.
Depending on wind direction, decent or none shelter. Guanaco's everywhere.
