As described! Campground is all the way down the road towards the dam, turn left at the boat ramp. We stayed at #10. Called and paid $5 to register. Had bathrooms and hot shower (no curtain). Really beautiful, flat, special campground.

This was a lovely, restful spot on the water nestled among trees with hanging moss. Got a great night’s sleep. The dogs were happy. We saw a bald eagle. Go to the boat ramp and call 229-273-3811 to get someone to register you. $5 a night, 10 night maximum. Spot #2 is right on the water with a nice view. No mosquitoes in January. Bathrooms are kind of far but otherwise perfect if you have a chamber pot.

This is camp is actually called Killebrew Park. Googling Flint River preserve will take you to a gated community. Otherwise the campground is as described by others. No one else besides us and a few fishermen on this winter day. Site 3 has the best view.

Report Check-In

Wonderful five dollar camping along the river. Very quiet during the week. Bring some firewood and drinking water.

Report Check-In

Lovely setting as described. Just be aware that the bathroom facilities are distinctly army style with no doors or curtains on the toilet and shower cubicles. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and there was only one other site occupied. Had a good night and went out on kayaks just after sunrise. Saw herons, egrets, ibis, a turtle and a small dead alligator caught in a mangrove stump.

Report Check-In

Stayed here one night. Very quiet and peaceful. Sites are quite close together as described.

When you approach the power station, keep going to the left, where the sign says boat launch. When you get to the boat launch parking, you can't miss a big sign for campers, with the number to call
The number is +12292733811, if you want to call ahead. Choose the option to speak to someone right away. They will tell you what sites are available. You drive to the site you want and they will come down to find you and register. The campground is small and the sites are NOT private. But the parking pads are gravel, level and will accommodate big rigs. Concrete picnic table, trash can, fire pit. Water spigots throughout the park.

Campground is open. You will need to call the number on the sign and they will send someone to register you and collect payment. Still $5 a night and cash only.

It is open again. Didn't make a reservation and just showed up. There were plenty of spots open still. Dam employee came down right before dark and got me all signed in for the night. Had a pleasant stay.

Gravel pads good for RVs and other vehicles. Some grass in the center campsites for tents. Call to reserve or when you show up. A staff member will drive down and fill out paperwork/ add sign to post. Hot showers and good for bird watching! $5 per night worth every penny!

Spent two days at this nice spot by the river. Nice wooded sites. There was a bit of trash around. I picked up a lot of it, but please use the trash cans so places like this stay open. $5 a night for a spot with a picnic table, water, a fire pit, and bathrooms with a hot shower. The bathroom is in the blue building up the metal ramp/stairway by the dam. Had the whole place to myself for both days. Great spot for birdwatching, with many herons, egrets, and a pair of bald eagles. Note- They do 3 short "warning" blasts at 6 am when they release some extra water. Nothing to worry about, but nice to know ahead of time!

The campsite charges $5.00 per night. A representative from the power company will come down to your site anytime and fill out the paperwork and collect the $5. There is water but no electricity. Bathrooms and hot water showers are at the top of the hill.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite for $5! There’s a boat ramp for access to the river as well as spots to fish. Water at every site as well as showers and restrooms back by the entrance. My only complaint is the bugs! They were rough once the breeze died down so come prepared.
