Description

Wild camping outside the NP and before the Navajo reserve. Few spots available amongst the trees with fire pits. Far enough from the highway not to be seen. Nice and peaceful. Good quality road access for all vehicle types.

Great little savior! Drove through the reserve in the dark last night desperately looking for a place to park. Was happy to find this little gem just outside the border. Beauty spot!

Definitely a rough road. Not washboard but big ruts. navigated a 33' rv a little ways in SLOWLY. Don't recommend going more than 200 yards if you take the left fork. Very difficult to find turn around.
Otherwise a great place to stay if you're okay with a little road noise.

Nice and clean, not much road noise, turned right and found a spot immediately. don’t go to the forest road on the opposite of the road in winter though, almost stuck there in the mud

Nice place. There is some noise from the road but not horrible. There is also a porta potty at the site.

Not far from 64W at all. When you pull off the high way, take the 2nd Left, then your first right… you will follow a dirt road and shortly see established camp sites on your left. I counted 7 sites in just a short walk. They are not very spread out but very decent. There is highway noise but not heard from camping in the 4Runner or the camper. Flat spots and some not so flat. Lots of rocks. Windy. The fire pits are big. 4WD not required. A car can get in here. ATT 3G service spotty with LTE.

0.2 miles dirt road off 64, road condition ok for our van, we found a RV on one of the many spot. We are able to find a flat spot by a fire pit, away from freeway, nice spot in national forest.

Wild camping outside the NP.
Many many spots available amounts the trees with fire pits. Several flat areas. There were a few roads that dropped down to a steep incline we avoided these and still found many spots to choose from. Far enough from the hwy not to be seen but you can hear the hum of the hwy
