Signs indicating 16-hour parking limit, but nothing posted prohibiting overnight parking

Report Check-In

we arrived in our van around 730pm. bathrooms still open. we parked in RV/camper spot (farther from 101). not totally level but level enough. no signs posted with restrictions. no one bothered us at all. bathrooms were actually open as of 10pm! 5G service on Verizon and TMobile. Keep this place clean and respect the neighbors. 👍

Report Check-In

i thought it would be noisy as it is right beside the 101 but was pretty calm for a saturday night. Toilet open 830am to5pm .

Report Check-In

Parking lot by HWY 101 for beach access. 16 hours limit. Updated coordinates with correct location.

Report Check-In

coordinates do not seem legitimate. literally a street in front of private property/residential houses. not sure where the parking lot was. did not stay.

Report Check-In

Stayed on the road behind this lot (NW Gilbert Way) several nights over a period of a week or so. Awesome access to surf spot, bathrooms with outdoor showers, trash. Can be noisy and crowded in the morning with surfers showing up, but doesn't have as much road noise as the official lot. Nobody has bothered us and there are always a few campers. Please respect the neighbors, this is a great place, let's keep it that way!

Report Check-In

16 hr parking in lot near beach. we also stayed on the street closer to the beach, away from houses, for a night or two. when we stayed on the street we arrived after dark and got on with surfing activities early in the morning.

this spot is great, one of the few places left on the Oregon coast.

***please don't abuse***

Report Check-In

Great spot to stay for the night. Bathrooms were locked until about 8:45 am.

Report Check-In

We didnt stay overnight, but we stopped at 8:45pm and there are no signs prohibiting overnight parking. We likely could have stayed and been fine, but the bathrooms were all locked when we arrived. Looked like there were outdoor rinse off areas, like showers but no curtains or anything.

Didn't have Labor Day weekend plans so tried our first shot at boondocking with our setup of 3 yrs. Love it here!! Our 1st night was at the Yaquina exit off the 101 N. We drove all the way in since there was no fee being charged. Amazing views, trails, and pit toilet. Day use only so near closing at 745pm we drove out back to the parking lot near the stop light. About 8 spaces so we hugged 3 nearest the mailboxes. Plenty of grass for dogs & quiet at night. Took the street right next to us straight down to the beach. Hopped on bikes Today & found this parking lot right next to us, Bonnie's drive through coffee, a steakhouse open 8-9 and Nye Beach about half a mile South with shops and dining/views that we biked to. Came back and the lot was emptier so we nailed another 3 or 4 spaces with water views! 4 bathrooms and another close short trail down to the beach. Beautiful weather! More grass for dogs. Closer to 101 so more road noise than the prior night but that should die down again later. 4 BAR CELL SERVICE the whole weekend which is hard to get on the coast (T-Mobile).

Unfortunately it is chained off and has “no camping” signs right at the entrance :(

Report Check-In

I parked next to the highway. A few cars after 10pm, road noise was really not bad. I'm sleeping in a Ford Fiesta, not exactly stealthy with towels in the windows and a sun shade in the front window. no problems at all, only one other rig stayed the night. not bad overall.

Parked my 25 foot bus in the camper/ RV section for two nights surfed three days with no problems, there is a restroom they close at 9pm and showers

i made the first post. just updating qe stayed all night. from 3pm till 10am next morning. no one ever said anything. theres a few spots designated for campers specifically. lets all not do anything that would make them put a no overnight sign up. its an awesome spot.
