Description

MODERATOR NOTE: Tent camping only
resort with camping ground for tents. But we could park on the grass field that serves as football field sometimes.
they have pool, hammocks and a cool outdoor restaurant with plugs.
for 120 pesos pp you can use showers and pool.
for 160 pesos pp you have same plus internet. But you can get a wifi code at the restaurant. for free... so we got the cheap camping option ;)
i think we where the first to camp here in a van but they where very friendly and helpful.

160 pp to camp. Access to wifi, pool, restaurant etc included. Very nice grounds. Park entrance is a 5 minute drive or 45 minute walk up the road. Can recommend!

Nice place for tent camping. Like many similar places, you park and carry your stuff to the camping zone, which is a nice and private field in the back with a picnic bench. Lots of power outlets in the pool area to keep your stuff charged. Weirdly they charge you to bring alcohol in, but the camping area is so hidden that if you're discreet I'm sure nobody would notice.

Great place to pitch a tent. It's 160 pesos/night/person with wifi, clean toilets, hot shower, pool, hammocks, friendly staff, beautiful garden.

It's a bit more expensive than Mayabell (150 pesos/night/person), but we didn't feel welcomed there.
Michol is another camping close by, based on other iOverlander comments it's 40 pesos/night/person. We checked the place but toilets were dirty and the place looked a bit run down. Definitly an option when you're on a low budget.

Told us there is no camping for our van. I guess it's meant for tent campers only?

don't come here anymore. it is no longer possible to camp at this hotel. they no longer accept that we take tables and chairs out of the camper van to eat outside. they ask to stay in the camper van and even in the parking lot of the football field it is no longer possible to camp unless you stay in the camper van which is not possible. they say it's too dangerous for the cars to maneuver in the parking lot when our motorhome is only 5.50m long! they weren't friendly at all. At first they told us that it was ok to sleep but as soon as we started to get the table and chairs out they asked us to leave. Too bad!

nice camping place (ask to be on the soccer field)
you pay 120 pesos per adult and you have access to a small swimming pool, hot showers, toilets, hammocks, and internet from the restaurant... everything is well maintained and nicely made.
the restaurant does good food and all the staff is good.
so we paid 240 pesos per day for 2 adults 2 kids and a big camper, definitely worth it.
and try those delicious wooden oven pizzas from Don Mucho's which is opposite the office of this place

Seems like a GREAT and comfortable option in Palenque!!

Do not accept pets... we did not stay.

After looking for a decent spot to decompress we drove to the next iOverlander spot 45 mins away at Roberto Barrios- which was so good!

For me a perfect location to camp in my van with my dogs on the futbol field. I stayed two nights. Very nice pool, bathrooms and showers. I also liked being across the street from El Panchan. The restaurant/ bar there is lots of fun.

$120pp for camping. $160pp if you also want to use kitchen and wifi. We ate lunch at the restaurant and used wifi. You have use of the pool. We were the only ones and you park in the grassy field. No shade. 2,5km to the ruins. A collectivo (little vans) to the ruins from right outside the camp is $20pp. Fast and easy. The ruins open at 8am. Right at the camp there is a toll booth where you pay $37 to get in the archeological area. Then you pay entrance for the ruins ($80pp in jan 2020). Amazing ruins!

We were also able to park our van in the parking lot for 5 days for no cost while we met family and drove to San Cristóbal in their rental.
