On the R27, Gerrit Burger is an artist and has a wonderful property close to the beach. Worth a visit!

Sadly, Gerrit passed away unexpectedly on February 20th. The campsite is still useable but understandably in a bit of disarray. His sister told me she has plans to fix the place up, but she has a lot on her plate, and they might end up having to sell the property.

Very chatty and friendly owner who does this very cool sculptures out of horns.
