Description

Nice flat area in the desert with one rock campfire ring. Far enough off the interstate to be quiet. Real beautiful here. ATT signal spotty and Verizon 4 bars.

This site was taken, found another 500' down the road. Nice, quiet. Good view. Good cell service.

Report Check-In

As described by others. Easy access, good solid road, flat with washes off to the sides east for larger RVs (5th wheel/motor home). Starlink fired right up. We are about a mile in and highway noise is faint. A fair number of side X sides and dirt bikes come here but not a nuisance. We stayed two nights.

Fantastic spot! Very quiet and clean. We only pulled off I8 due to a heavy rain. Didn’t go very far down the road, but did check the area out the next morning. Even with the heavy rain the gravel road was dry. Great cell and internet service. We did see border patrol walking the road in the morning, but we felt very safe.

Nice, flat part of the Sonoran desert to camp in. There is some highway noise but there are a lot more sites up the same road. It is Public Land. Very clean area but as always, leave it cleaner than you found it please.

Beautiful camp in the desert. T-Mobile working here. Come in the spring and the air smells of sweet flowers.

Super nice spot ! We drove in late in the afternoon. They were a few other campers. We wanted to stay a few days, but the next morning on our walk, a guy started growling and screaming at us… Didn’t feel safe, so we left. Other then the guy, would recommend the spot !

Report Check-In

Easy to access, flat, multiple spots, quiet and clean. Nice views too!

Just as described 😃off I-8. Pull off into the desert 🌵

Report Check-In

Nice location for a night or two. Some road noise but not bad. Good Verizon cell.

Report Check-In

lots of options, much area! Were the only guests we could see through the night... then saw 4 people drive out in the morning

Report Check-In

we stopped just a little short of the GPS coordinates because it was getting dark and there were several spots to choose from along the way. Some mild traffic noise and some far off coyotes. early in the evening, some off-roaders drove by. beautiful sunrise and sunset views. not the best place for dogs to run free due to sharp ground and potential coyotes. GREAT Verizon service. the dirt road to get to this close spot was flat and well maintained.

Report Check-In

As described. Exit I8 at Vekol (sp) Rd. Plenty of room, just turn on a side road at a break in the fence. Good cell service. Moderate road noise. A good place to stop on the way to somewhere else.

Report Check-In

lots of open area to find a spot. there was a bit of trash and broken glass at my spot.

Sonoran Desert National Monument, managed by BLM.

Nice area. Wide open desert 🏜 and mountain ⛰ views for as far as you can see. This area is huge and there are spots literally everywhere. There are very few people here, I see 2 campers and they are very far away....like .25 miles away. Really nice. The gravel access road is one of the nicest I've been on. Very wide and smooth. No washboard. Area is very accessible for any rig. No worries at all. With areas like this all over the place....I really have no idea why people want to cram themselves into other well known areas that everyone talks about. But to each there own......I'll enjoy my peaceful spot all by myself. 😆 🤣

Anyway. Sites are flat, not dusty or rocky and many have rock firepits made up from previous campers. No services. Free. 14 day stay max, but not sure who's counting. There's other areas off of I-8, to move to if so. No cholla around, so great for Shadow to run around. OTA TV Antenna pulling in 80 channels....haven't gone through them yet, but I sure some are dupes and many in Spanish. Internet is very fast. VZW is 69 mbps down/23 up. ATT is 38 mbps down/8 up.

Report Check-In

Just to let others know there are “illegal immigration and drug smuggling are common in this area” signs so we kept moving to find a safer spot.

Grabbed one of the first sites once on the dirt road from Hwy 8. Easy access, little to no highway noise, huge area, lovely, plenty of room to not feel crowded even if it was, though it’s pretty empty right now, or at least feels that way.

Report Check-In

Grabbed one of the first spots on the gravel road once off Hwy 8 and even then, little to no highway noise. Easy access, huge area - lots of room and would likely almost never feel crowded. Nice!

Report Check-In

Well maintained dirt road, easy to get to, beautiful sunset skies, and full Verizon coverage. Great boondocking spot for all camper sizes!

Great camping spot for this time of year!

Right off highway and easy to find. There were a lot of RVs but plenty of places to camp far enough away from everyone else. No fires we're allowed at the time we stayed.

We camped a little farther down the road on a nice pull through site good for a smaller rig with a fire ring at 32.8276646, -112.2537192

Quiet and peaceful.
