Nice and talkative English owner who washed our bikes after riding the salar. This included cleaning with water, blasting air through every little space there is and treating the whole bike with anti rust. We just helped to dissamble our bikes but used his workshop and tools for it.
100 Bs per bike seem a lot but in our opinion it is worth it.
He also organizes motorcycle and bicycle tours and gave us a lot of important information about riding in the salar.
Better call ahead because sometimes he is out guiding the tours.

I asked him to change a rubber bushing on my steering dumper and to reinforce a rear mudguard on my 1200 gsa that I’m riding from USA to Argentina
He installed a bushing that is 4x smaller than the one needed so it burst after 4 hours of riding and mudguard fell off somewhere during the same ride
I paid 35$ usd for him to remove 5 bolts, but he messed up the task.
Robin even proudly said that I had one week warranty, but when I asked him to honor it, he said that my bike design is bad and that he knows what he’s doing. After that he blocked me
He is a poor mechanic in my experience. I’m now out of 170$ mud fender that fell off, but no structural damage was done to the bike.
He charges 1000$ usd for recoveries from salt flats.
His “tour” rates are ridiculous 250$ usd per person for a day of riding on a 20 year old DR650 that leaks oil. You can have tailored Uyuni experience for 500$ usd if it’s two of you.

Robin was ace helping us fix our cassettes after they’d wobbled loose! Allow extra time for chatting, he gave us some great tips on road conditions and routes.

Spent most of the day working on the bike with Robin, good english expat bloke owning the place here. Experienced mecanic, welder and motorcycle tour guide. Nice shop, he also rewashed my bike like it should really be done after an adventure in the salt. He drove me around town in his land rover to find the parts i was looking for. Many good stories to tell, chill place with 2 small friendly dogs running around, can't suggest this place enough. Oh yeah, and the information you can get from him about the region is priceless. If you get stuck anywhere, injured or lost, he's the guy to call. +591 78773787

Robin is a great mechanic and a great guy! He helped us with a complicated problem of brake liquid of the bicycle. He also really we'll cleaned the bikes after we've been on the salar. And everything with nice chatting and a cup of coffee, for 100 bol.
We highly recommend him for any problems with the bikes. You should write to him on WhatsApp before to make sure he's here (with the numbers below).
He also repair motobikes, cars, trucks... for many years and is a guide for personalized tours of the region.

The only company that organizes motorcycle tours to the Salar and more. As said Robin really knows what he's doing.. He has a lot of experience as a guide and as a driver so it really teaches you how to ride in such extreme environment. Super recommended both for tours and repair shop.

you can book MTB, motorcycle, 4x4 tours and climbing tours too here. But you can also get your bike washed and serviced here or any type of help really. Robin Thomas is English and super friendly and nice and got plenty of good stories to tell. we got our bikes washed and dried here after the salar, Robin knows what he's doing as he's been here for a while. we also got oil change and a few bits sorted.
he's also doing a lot of bike recoveries etc. Anything you need for your motorcycle, he can help.
