Something not right?

Description

Rest area in both directions, I stayed at the southbound side, two separate parking sections with two restroom buildings, well kept facilities, next to Klamath River. Sets you up nicely to take 96 out to Redwood National Park. Few other travelers around, quiet.

Latest Check-Ins

Verizon service spotty at best. Other than that relatively quite spot to rest for the night

Report Check-In

This rest stop is by the river and very peaceful. It is below the freeway and it’s not that noisy even though it’s close to the freeway. 2-3 bars T-Mobile service.

Report Check-In

Beautiful, large rest area with several parking areas, multiple bathrooms, and lots of lawn, picnic tables, and walking space. The area runs along the river, but no river access. The freeway isn't too far away, but its route climbs the side of the hill and you barely hear it from the parking areas. Moderate Verizon signal, enough to stream, but video conferencing might get iffy without a booster.

Beautiful- largest nicest ever! Keep pets off the lawn

This place is awesome. Beautiful park, full bars with AT&T, right on the river. Felt very safe

really nice area. 2 parking areas. EV charging. restrooms were decent

Very nice location for a night. Pull-through truck spaces. 23°F tonight. 2040 ft elevation.

Report Check-In

I felt safe in my truck bed camper, though I could hear the trucks idling most of the night. Bathrooms were cleaner earlier in the evening than they were the next morning, but no complaints. AT&T mobile was strong.

Report Check-In

Two main sections, each with its own restroom building. Right next to the Klamath River. Not too much road noise, I5 is quite a bit up the hill.

Cell coverage is weak, but I still got 7.6Mbps download.

Wow, warm water in the bathroom sinks!
The visitors center was closed on a Sunday afternoon, so I think it may be seasonal.

We stayed overnight with zero problems. We started off in the 1st lot then eventually moved to the 2nd lot for a quieter evening. We felt safe and would come back again.

Large rest area near the river with two separate parking areas. It was clean and quiet with not too many overnighters when I was here. Lots of grassy space and picnic tables.

Report Check-In

I usually dread rest areas and their bathrooms but this one was beautiful, with the Klamath river just yards away, paved paths that made it seem like a large park with trees in bloom; clean, warm restrooms with warm water and folks picking up trash before it hits the ground. They are strict about dog areas, but even the dog area is clean and orderly. We parked our van at the end of the first car-sized parking area and only had two late night incidents of noise that woke us. Felt safe and woke to a sunny and bright scene.

Report Check-In

Water spigot winterized. No water currently available.

Actually we ended up having to park on the other side of the river along the highway for 8 hours it was quite nice. We got to the rest stop at midnight and there was not a single RV or truck parking for our little travel trailer and us.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot. Clean. Quiet. No tents allowed. 8 hour parking limit posted.

Best I-5 rest stop north of Sacramento. By the river in a canyon. Great place to sit and watch the water flow by. Great place for a picnic. It's I-5 so it'll get chock full of trucks if you get there too late, but typically you can find car space or park across the river on the side of the road if necessary.
