Latest Check-Ins

Open. Friendly caretaker woman. Lots of space to camp at the back on grass and in the shade of a big tree. She opened one of the chalets for us to use the shower and toilet. $10/pppn. Tranquil place. Only some distant noise (music from some bar, as it was Saturday, but not bad.) Good pressure in the shower, very clean, too.

In the hotel next door you can get a nice room for 10 USD instead of paying 20 USD for two people pitching a tent 😬

Directions can be confusing. Is right on the main road. Camp site is open and wonderful. Friendly owners. Green grass for tents. Shade if needed.

CLOSED. The sign at the gate says hoot loudly. Hoot long. The gate is open and the grounds deserted.

Great family run place near to town. Very friendly woman bring us a bowl of mangos. They are working to fix a new roof at the big lapa. Quite at night and very secure. Electricity from the Lapa. Ablutions are clean and ok. Shady place under the big mangotree. We can recommend this place on the way or from crossing border to Malawi. $10/pppn.

As we were the only one's here, we camped under the big trees behind the lapa and plugged into power there.
It's quieter away from the road too.
Free WiFi available and a good kitchen, including fridge and freezer, conveniently close to town for restock, atm's, fuels etc. Charged K130 per person
