missed entry at the north of the graveyard and took southern entry. nice big lawns, bushes, lovely and quiet spot close to city. you can take your pick, big rigs, tents. If you have 4wd you can go even further into those paddocks. Had shepherds with herds coming past. perfect spot if you travel with dog.

I parked here and stayed from about 5pm. Unfortunately some men knocked on my car at 11.30 pm. With my curtains closed Just I said no Russian and give me one minute. Some words were said but I didn't understand what they wanted. When I said down in my drivers seat to turn the lights on outside and open my window a bit (I never open my doors during night time when someone is around) they were gone. I waited for a bit, but didn't feel 100% safe anymore as I had no idea what they wanted. might just have been nice people, or not. So I moved to another spot.
Report Check-InOk place for one night in some green fields. Easy acces, some shepherds in the morning, you can hear the road and find some trash. But indeed very close to the town and LTE.
Report Check-InVery nice and calm spot close to Karakol. We drove into one of the more sheltered areas (south-south-east of the Ioverlander coordinates) very hidden from all the dirt tracks. This place seems to be a local hangout too as there is quite a lot of trash around. While we camped here we only saw one car pass by and stay for 15 minutes or so before leaving again.
Report Check-InWe prefered this one to the one closer to the cemetery. More space. Some friendly shepherds around. But lots of dogs barking at night and loud music (it was a saturday night).
