Something not right?

Description

While waiting for the ferry the next day (leaves once per day at 1pm) we stayed here. Around the administration they tolerate you camping. There are toilets in the little forest behind the administration. DO NOT STAY IN THE RIVERBANK although it looks tempting. The tides go up quite high. Other than that you can basically park everywhere.

We also had dinner in the cafe, which you need to pre-book. Three course menu was CLP 16’500.

Report Check-In

Pulled in around 8p to catch the 6a ferry the next morning. Park Ranger said no problem sleeping in our van - just pull off to the side/out of the way and get in line for the ferry at 5a. The line of cars queues up back on the main road. The place was quite, bug free and we made an evening dinner and slept with the doors open. Great spot and you won’t miss the ferry if your alarm doesn’t go off cuz the roar of traffic will let you know it’s time to go :)

(I’m pretty sure you cannot pitch a tent here - you need to go up to the campsite about .5km up the road)

Report Check-In

If you sleep in your van, there is parking places in front of the infocenter or on the (somewhat large) street. We were a lot who slept there when we arrived at 2am from the ferry that left Hornopirén at 21h. No trouble finding a spot.

Report Check-In

Good description, toilets available.
The spot is a little bit noisy due to the ferry but it wasn’t a problem for us.
