been a couple of years since we were last here, still a great, quiet night's sleep. stayed in the library lot.

Sure beats that massive parking lot by the interstate!
Peaceful, birdsong, flowers, green smells, cool mornings.
There's a nice "site" with a picnic table and water faucet in the southeast corner of the park if you are a van or smaller. Good Verizon.

Was there just for lunch.Nice and quiet place. Sign says "Daylight hours only" (see picture), but looks like they tolarate.

great place to spend the night while traveling! library appears closed on weekends. wasn't sure where we were supposed to park, just ended up parking in the library parking lot itself, which is about 100 yards away from the dirt parking lot that others referred to. no one bothered us all night, super quiet with gentle rooster sounds in the morning and tons of wild life / birds!

bathrooms on site are pretty clean, and there is in fact a hose spigot on the rear corner of the building, though you need a water key to turn it on and we did not test it. there is a drinking water fountain located behind the baseball diamond, which does work but is very high pressure. could be used for filling bottles if needed.

can walk to the Mexican border wall, but several houses in the neighborhood have dogs that were off leash and roaming free, so we did not attempt it.

Report Check-In

Perfect location for a night. Looks like a ghost town when we arrived at night. The 2 only cars we met were border patrols.

Quiet night next to the library, as described on a flat sand parking.

No one bothered us.

We haven’t tried to find the water as described.

Report Check-In

Large flat space just west of library building. Toilets toward the rear of the lot. Water spicket behind toilets.
We stayed two nights. After our first night, we asked at the library if a second night would be a possibility and they said no problem.
The border with Mexico is a few hundred yards away!

Report Check-In

Lots of room as described, but law enforcement discourages overnight parking for safety reasons, due to illegal border crossings there.
