Something not right?

Description

A couple of pull-offs just before Sutherland Dam Road heads downhill into Cleveland National Forest. Not sure if this is Cleveland National Forest property or County property but there are no 'no overnight' signs and it is very secluded and quiet. Stayed here one night as nearby sites were not accessible.

Report Check-In

Sadly camping here is no longer allowed, there is a "no parking overnight" sign at the location.

A beautiful pullover, overlooking the dam and lake. Being buggy is its downfall.

Report Check-In

Spent two nights there. Few cars passed late in the evening but quiet spot.

Not too bad with accurate descriptions. I did have a car with some teenagers stop near my campsite then proceed to explore the dam which was closed and were very loud and shining lights towards the RTT at around 2am. Other than not too bad

Report Check-In

Free and quiet place near the national forest. Some cool hikes in the area.

Report Check-In

Free and safe place for a night or two. Like everyone said it’s right before the road turns into national forest territory but no one bothers you. Had county trucks that work for the dam drive by a lot but they didn’t seem to care that people were camping. There’s 2 pull offs one is a little more secluded and has a fire pit. Had another camper van stay the night as well. Some cars driving down and up from the NF road but nothing too noisy. Would recommend if your in the area

we parked a bit further, very quite, no traffic, only a few cars in the day time, it is private Land, we asked a ranger 15 miles before, but nobody cares about here

Spent one night here no problem. Right on the edge of the national forest, so hard to say if it’s technically okay or not. Trucks in and out and sunset and sunrise. Beautiful sunset over the mountains and a gorgeous drive in around the reservoir!

I parked in the “lot” to the right of the forest road entrance, rather than the pull out to the left, because it the left side seems more like a local hanging zone full of trash piles and bullet casings. One truck did pull into there for a bit last night, was peaceful and didn’t disturb me.

Report Check-In

I stayed here with a few other campers. In the morning we were told to move along by some friendly sheriffs.

Report Check-In

Be mindful of ticks if going into the bushes. Found one on my pants an hour after 'going to the bathroom'. We decided to camp in the big pull off outside of the path since anywhere on the path you'll be coming in contact with the bushes. Stayed in RTT. Fairly quiet, not too much traffic. There's also pull off slightly back up the road where we got service.
