Roadside at the edge of town. Walking distance to every restaurant in town but less traffic noise at night than parking on the main street. Walking distance to the public restroom. Was totally quiet at night, traffic picked up at 9am.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Homeless person screening with music until 8pm. Has been quiet since. no cars have passed for an hour. Seems like we won't have any issues here.
Report Check-InDecent street parking in a cute town with easy access to the national seashore. Normal small-town vehicle noise. The public restroom was a bonus. Did not eat in town but looked like there were decent restaurants. We arrived late and left early. Would stay again.
Report Check-Inside of the road, by a park. joined by a few other vans. bumping wedding music on a Saturday night! cute town
Report Check-InDecided to stop in Point Reyes station. Saw another post that said they talked to a police officer and said it was okay to stay overnight so found a road that’s behind some businesses and away from any home.
Report Check-InQuite side street parking. Not in front of any business or residential. No signs that say you can’t park. I stayed here one night and was not but here’s at all. Very very quite small town. So only noise was the occasional car driving by. Which picked up more in the evening. Great place to stay if you’re visiting Point Reyes National Seashore. the town of Point Reyes Station is nice and friendly and easy to walk around. Lots of tourists but also lots of locals. Really cool old bar around the corner called the Western Saloon. Very authentic old saloon that’s been there since the late 1800’s. A few restaurants and public restrooms a street away.
Report Check-InGreat, friendly town. Great safe spot to park on the street with clean public restrooms open 24 hours. Everything you need in town is just a few blocks away. Locals told me that there’s no problem parking here. Just make sure you are respectful and don’t leave trash behind or make a lot of noise.
Report Check-InOpted to park on the street and not in the bathroom lot so as to not draw much attention. Street had some sketchy long term residents and was very loud all night. Had to move down the street a neighbor was so loud and then another parked next to me even louder. Loud techno music until 2:30am, speeding cars and super loud trucks until 3:30am and workers up and working and banging outside on the business side at 7:00am. Having a bathroom this close still wouldn't make me suggest staying here. Maybe it was a Friday the 13th luck.
Report Check-InRelatively quiet side street in town. Other reviews said everything! Stayed two nights while exploring Point Reyes National Seashore. A few other vans and a skoolie stayed along this road as well. Cute town!
Report Check-InSpent a fine night in the parking lot of the playground/bathrooms. The only disturbance was the truck coming to empty the porta potties in the middle of the night. Perfect for walking to town to get a pastry in the morning. There was a park employee around when I came back but they didn’t seem to mind me.
Report Check-InShowed up here around 7:30pm and there were a few other cars and trucks with folks staying the night. 30 second walk to 4 public bathrooms and port-a-potties. No night traffic, very peaceful slumber. Woke up in the morning and walked to the local bakery for breakfast
Report Check-InGreat spot - really quiet with several other vampers. I stayed here after moving from a different spot where I felt unsafe.
