camping as reported before. Problem with villagers comming asking for money not solved as of our visit. stuff super friendly.
we did two tours, one brillant, ohne very poor. acoid doi g the himba village Tour, massively overpriced, rattert go to the himba living Museum 45 km up to opuwo. but take the tour down the hoanib river with best in breed guide Ueera. He will make your day!!!
since 31/1/24 the price is 300 pppn. we stayed as we arrived late but would go somewhere else for this price next time.
we also had people introducing themselves as staff coming down to the campsite and asking for money. we were the only guests. I did not feel comfortable.
New prices as of 2024. $300,- per person night.
They built a whole new pool and restaurant at the campsite part. So there are two pools now.
As mentioned in previous posts very clean with friendly staff, a pool or the river stream to cool off. Nice bar and restaurant with plenty of options. 200 pppn
Excellent campsites with great views. Showers and toilets neat and clean. For overland trucks campsites 1-5 are perfect, 6-9 you have to drive down a slope. Friendly staff and excursions from lodge can be booked. Did Desert Elephant Safari and visit to Himba village - was a top experience.
We stayed 3 nights, was well worth it.
Nice campsites + electricity + tap + shade. Ablutions: nice hot shower and flush toilets. This camp is overlooking the beautiful mountains and a little stream running past the camp. Swimming pool at the campsite as well as one at the Lodge. Very friendly staff.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot, clean abolitions and very friendly people. Robert was super helpful and gave some good advise on road and river bed conditions etc. The campsite has its own pool now (brand new with grassy area) but you are still allowed to use both (also the one at the lodge). Some further construction was going on - more seems to be coming. Price was N$ 200 ppn (might depend on season?). Braai packs are available for N$ 200 ppn/pack (bit expensive).
Report Check-InNice campsite, clean ablutions. Water and electricity on all campsites, the best ones are the riverside sites (nr.5-8). We were on nr.7. N$200/pppn. Small pool at lodge, but refreshingly cool water.
Report Check-InLodge is really nice and well maintained.
The outside bathrooms are great!
Elephants (towels) are on the beds.
Pool in shaded area (trees), also for campers.
We just stayed for a coke, it was to early to stay here
Report Check-Inthe price of the camping is 300n PPP. The price depends if u are from África or not.
the rooms we would pay 1320n PPP,. in the Room price os included the dinner and breakfast but since they didnt had any client we wouldnt have dinner.
so we decided to go to another place
Great campsite. Beautiful setting, quality facilities and very friendly and helpful staff. Too expensive though, at 300 NAD per night.
Report Check-InNow 250 pppn, much too expensive. We stayed anyway because it was very hot, so we opted for the swimmingpool.
Campsites have sink, no private abulutions . Swimmingpool very tiny, but we enjoyed it,. 8 beds around it. Nice showers, but for that money you would expect that Doors could be properly closed and something to put your clothes on would be convenience. staff was very friendly and helpfull.
Report Check-In150 NAD ppn. Electricity, sink, artificial shade on each campsite. Nice and clean ablutions. Swimming pool and bar at the reception at 200m. from Campsite. 50 NAD a wine glass. wifi voucher sold.
Managers and employee are very nice.
