Description

Despite all the wow-factor scenery in South Utah, this gorge is really worth a drive. Truly spectacular drive down a twisting narrow canyon/gorge. Especially around 1.5hrs before sunset, the cliffs glow golden-red. It's a national park so it's free if you have a parks pass. There is a campground too. Open all year, I think $20 for a pitch but we didn't stay.

Latest Check-Ins

We aren’t desert people but the out and back drive in the gorge was definitely worth it. We also hiked to the water pockets which were neat.

Beautiful drive through a gorge in Capitol Reef National Park. Once you’re in the park make a left at Great Wash. The whole park has amazing views but this little drive off the main road is not to be missed.
