Latest Check-Ins

We stayed there with out campervan and it costed 7,000 CRC per person. The place is really near to the beach, but in a stablished place. The bathrooms and showers were very dirty and cockroaches, and the kitchen with lot of dirty dishes, etc. If you need water or a stablished place, it works, but if not, it’s better stay in front of the beach.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for 2 nights and found it very enjoyable, very close to the centre of town and right on the beach. Other reviews are correct, it’s next to a public car park and access road but at night goes quiet and peaceful. Ideal for both beach and town, shops and bars etc.
Staff are welcoming and friendly and gave us a good welcome with lots of information, they were always around if we needed anything else/had questions.
Wildlife is also close, monkeys overhead each day, squirrels (feed them coconut by hand) and lizards everywhere.
Well recommended for tents, roof tents.
Great stay thanks.

very nice place almost directly on the beach. 2 toilets very clean and including toilet paper, 2 showers dingy. No gate or fence. WiFi very fast, also upload. At 7,000 per person a bit too expensive, especially since there is no electricity to connect. nevertheless recommendable, because probably the closest option to the town center.

Report Check-In

Bit disappointing. Paid 7.000 Colones per Person and parked our van in the end, next to the street (only possibility). Dirty toilets. No security. I think it’s better to park for free at the beach

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay and not busy.Felt comfortable and safe. Travelling with family of 4 (wife and 2 daughters) Close enough to main area. Walking distance down the road or along Beach. Heard that the place was very busy and crowded during Christmas holidays up to New Years. 150 tents or so.

Report Check-In

Good camping ground, but can be dense and busy since it is not big.
Good showers, average kitchen with some facilities.

Friendly staff and directly at the beach and within walking distance to the centre of Tamarindo.

Report Check-In

Perfect place to be if you like easy camping in a beautifull spot only a few steps from the Pacific Ocean. We came with rain and it was nice to have a cover over our car with a tent on top. 2 toilets, a cold shower and an outdoor kitchen and nice guys who can help out with anything.

we're saty here for 10 days Alan the owner is very nice and all the people that work here you can renף0t a surfboard all the close beaches are for beginners and 10 min walking from here better we had very good time and pay 5000 pp

Report Check-In

Great location, 5000pp. The owners were super friendly, even put a grass mat outside our door when we were out. Good if you need the kitchen or wifi, otherwise we’d recommend wild camping in the parking lot 10 steps away for free. Our second night in Costa Rica and quickly discovering we can’t afford it!

Report Check-In

Nice campground close to town but far enough away. We knew Tamarindo was touristy but we did have quite the culture shock. It's a beautiful beach and nice town with bars, restaurants and boutiques but probably more something one would come to vacation for a week rather than overland. We still stayed for three nights @14000/night but are now moved further south to Samara. Much slower pace and more our kind of beach town... 😀

Report Check-In

Wi-fi, eletricty, Security, next to the beach, but the bathroom and shower are rustic and the kitchen very dirty, but I don't care. Nothing that soap and water won't solve. I paid 23 dólares per 3 days. So Next to the beach.

Report Check-In

The only way to visit Tamariando unless you want to party at the bars. Right outside of the noise. Peaceful place. Monkeys arounds. Decent facilities. Good wifi. Good vibe. Amazing beach. Youre camping on the beach. Stayed 3 nights paid 15000 C.

Water pools is the two lower grounds so avoid tent camping at the lower grounds if its going to rain.

Report Check-In

Paid 7,000 pp for one night with a 4x4 rooftent. Facilities were fine and so was the WiFi. Great atmosphere in the camp!

We camped here for one night and we loved it. We parked our car right next to our two tents. Allan and Moises were very nice and welcoming, and helped us get set up when we arrived after the sun had set. We were also able to rent a couple of surfboards for cheaper than other renting places. The site is very close to the center of Tamarindo and the beach. There are plenty of outlets, tables to eat or hang out, and good vibes. The bathrooms are clean, and the kitchen has gas, a fridge, and a freezer. Totally recommend. Pura vida :)

Add on: We stood some days longer at this nice place. There are also tents you can rent for small a small money. If you need some more luxury there is a cabin with aircon, TV,… etc.
You can also rent Surfboards, Kayaks and 2 ATV for 100 Dollars a day. With them you can explore the area for example Playa Brasilito (beautiful lonly beach). The beach is 50m away. At the end totally a worth place for visiting Tamarindo.

Report Check-In

Absolutely the place to be for overlander if you want to explore Tamarindo and arround. Super clean facilities, outdoor Kitchen, fast Wifi and really lovely Owners + Co-Workers.
Recommended!

Report Check-In

Good location for camping.
₡5,000 per person per night.
Bathrooms were kind of dirty since the also rented to anyone from the beach for ₡500.
If you have an RV, just park outside and rent the bathrooms.
Has electricity also available.
