Mexico
Very nice family. They cooked us dinner for 60 pesos per person and allowed us to park behind the cabanas for the night. There is a clean flush bathroom with a sign on the door that says 5 pesos. Right on the highway, so some truck noise, also a generator that ran from about 5:30-7:30pm.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Decided to stretch our legs here on this long stretch of road. We had 2 cheese & refried beans quesadillas and two coffee for $200 pesos.
The nice lady has a bad leg so make it easy on her and clear your own table.
Parking: Plenty of room for any size rug.
Report Check-InThis place is a nice stop on the Mexican 1 for any overlander: campers, motorcycle riders, cyclists etc. The restaurant is closed, but if you ask you can pitch a tent here or park the camper van around back. They will even make food. We stayed here with the two us of (+ two motorcycles) and two cyclists, a total of 3 tents. At night the road is still noisy, but with earplugs doable. They will let you use the bathroom. No shower though.
Report Check-InSuch a cool find! It’s now $60 pesos for a delicious dinner and a night stay. Hand made tortillas, friendly hosts, nice chat and tips from the owners.
A bit of noise from the Mexico-1 but not too bad.
The restaurant is closed but the family is not! They let me stay and I had dinner with their family. I have them 200 pesos. They are so nice and welcoming and me and one of the wives chatted via Google translate. Their bigger dog is really fearful of other dogs. He got along with mine at first but snapped at him a little. I scared him off and it was totally fine after that. Love this family and immersive experience. Would stay again.
Report Check-InRestaurant was shut when we got there, but the family was very nice and let us stay on their property away from the highway for 200 Pesos. Beware of the cow droppings.
Report Check-InVery welcome owner, he didin't know he was on Ioverlander and he was happy to learn that !
He open his backyard for us and offer washroom and coffee.
