Description

Boondocking pull-outs just within the boundaries of Anza Borego state park. : south of sculpture site, near hills

If you follow the exit for the nearby Borego Springs boondocking site, just continue to follow the road up to the hills toward the right. You'll eventually make a right-hand turn into the park. (See photo with road highlighted).

Vans, smaller campers, carefully driven cars will be fine on the road as of 12/28/19.

Make sure you're pulling into a previously used pull-out: there's a lot of land that looks like hardpan, but you can sink right on.

Great spot to dry camp. Quite a few spots along this dirt road though we had to go back aways to find an empty spot when we arrived early evening. Road is easy to drive. So quiet here!!

Abou t1.5 miles from road. Nice and quiet

Report Check-In

Looks like there’s a no tress-passing sign now and no turn offs. We turned around.

About ten pull outs located just off the main road. Great for camper vans. The only downsize is there are Cholla cactus everywhere around the pull outs. Fine for campers without animals. Not good for dogs who need to get out and run. We pulled some very deep thorns out of our dogs paws and we were being careful. Make sure you have an outdoor mat and all is good!
Very quiet and amazing star gazing!

Report Check-In

Up by the hills, very quiet and private. But not too far from the road either.
