Overnight parking allowed here.
We asked.
Restrooms during business hours only. Can obtain information about Joshua Tree NP and a whole lot of other information as well. There’s also a gift shop.
Huge lot and a lot of parking spaces. Even a some larger rigs could fit. Staying here one night before going back through Joshua Tree. Surprisingly, we’re the only ones here so far. So much better here, quieter than the rest area last night. Very quiet. No amenities but we don’t mind since it’s peaceful here! We have strong phone signal here and using our own WiFi. We spoke to the staff early this am and she said overnight parking is allowed. Blink charging station in the middle of the lot. No restrooms overnight. Only when the welcome center is open.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Can stay overnight. Parking is only flat in some areas. Lot lights go out around 10 which is nice
Report Check-InBig parking area, the visitors center was closed when we arrived. Quiet place, three other rv’s arrived after us. Definitely recommend this spot, close to the park entrance.
Report Check-InNice visitor center and staff, a gal told us we could stay up to 3 days and have us theirs Wifi password. Free coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Big parking lot, we parked at the farend of the parking lot by an open field w\a dirt road. We took a walk after dinner, it was nice.
Report Check-InCrashed here for a second time! Pulled in after the center closed. Another van had already parked for the night. A third pulled in at some point. I’m not bothered by the occasional highway noise.
My fav part is the Mountain View’s out the back of my van.
The folks who work inside the welcome center are all lovely and very friendly too. Restrooms were clean.
Report Check-InThanks for the recommendations on this site, I was grateful for an other free overnight opportunity. Good size lot, easy to spread out. I was maybe one of three or 4 overnight vans on a Sunday Night. I’d park there again if need be.
Report Check-InSecond Night here ( first one 3 weeks ago) no problem. Quiet with some road noise. Useful for Joshua Tree.
Report Check-InPulled in after they were already closed and just trusted the reviews. No one bothered me all night. They turn the main lights off at a certain time and just have the one flood light in the back of the building. Road noise not too bad. Good spot. 2-3 bars LTE of Verizon
Report Check-InFriendly staff advised us we can stay up to 3 nights and gave us the wifi password. Only could connect in front of the building though. We had to give the our name, license plate, and description of our vehicle. So far there are 4 RV’s here now. Storm expected overnight so a great place to wait it out.
Report Check-InWonderful spot. A few others parked around me. No one bothered us and the visitor center folks were very friendly and even showed me where the bathroom was without any prompting.
Report Check-InI corrected the gps coordinates, guessing g they moved . so far, at 6 pm. Quiet and cell service
Report Check-InPulled up around 8pm ish on a Friday. I was only one and was pretty quiet besides the occasional sound from road. Would stay another night.
Report Check-InVery nice parking lot behind the visitor center from cali; thanks for this great opportunity! Felt really safe and some other vans spend the night here :)
Report Check-InThere were a couple of vehicles in the parking lot overnight besides us. There was some road noise early in the evening and then again as morning arrived, but it really wasn't a problem.
Report Check-InGood level spot for the night. We parked at the back of the lot, came after closing. 4 other rigs stayed the night also. Felt safe.
Report Check-InThe centre was closed as it was Christmas so there were no toilets for the duration of our stay. Felt safe and it was nice and convenient to enter the park
Report Check-InJust a basic parking lot. But of course grateful to the Visitor Center to allow overnight parking.
Report Check-InPlenty of parking, restrooms open in the morning. No one bothered us here. Good information inside of the rest area about the surrounding areas.
Report Check-InGreat place to spend a night — quiet, safe, and the folks in the visitor center were really friendly when we went to use the restroom in the morning. They even asked how the camping in the lot went, so it’s definitely ok to stay.
Report Check-InGreat one night stop on the way to Joshua Tree. Nice parking lot behind building. One other van there. Food and coffee nearby.
Report Check-InThey have a big parking lot, but larger RVs will have to use several spaces in back. It was quiet most of the night and I was the only one here. The only thing odd was a guy driving his car back and forth in a dirt lot next to the parking lot -- walking his dog!
Report Check-In5 Rv's are already a lot here and when 4 of them (with normal sized cars) are parked across the park fields, I am not surprised if we are no longer tolerated shortly.
Report Check-InJust arrived after dark. Only 1 other RV at this time. Quiet and dark parking lot. We will visit Joshua Tree NP tomorrow.
Love this app for helping us find suitable places as we travel!
Report Check-InGreat spot, the parking lot is large enough for big rigs however we bottomed out pulling in 31ft class c
Report Check-InHuge lot and a lot of parking spaces.
Report Check-InBest overnight parking lot in the area.
Visitor Center open 9-4
Trash can at entrance
No water available, No wifi
There are some 120v outlets in the center island of the parking lot, I didn’t check to see if they were working.
Mostly level parking lot. Arrived after hours and left before it opened so didn’t have the chance to check in with the staff but no one bothered me.
Mostly quiet at night. Some road noise. Good AT&T service. Would boondock here again.
This spot is really fantastic. I stayed two nights here while Joshua Tree NP was full. It was a little more driving to stay here than in the town of Joshua Tree, but was worth it knowing that we would not be bothered. Lots of parking spots and an empty lot behind, with plenty of privacy..! Be sure to leave the place clean.
Report Check-InSpent a great night in a dark back corner of the parking lot. An occasional siren or such from the main road but the view from the back of the van was stellar of the mountains and it was the darkest sleep this trip (so far).
Thanks visitor center! Used the restrooms in the am after enjoying the view and breakfast in our van.
Report Check-Ininformed at visitor center if ok for overnight.
its permitted!
good service to.
