Description

This is a county park where you can stop overnight free of charge. There is a snag! You need a permit that you can get from the County offices for free. Apparently this can also be done over the phone. At the time we were here everything was closed for the holiday.

The park has flushing toilets of average cleanliness, but no stall doors. Otherwise it is well kept and very pleasant. There is no potable water or sanidump. Phone signal was good. Nobody else was here the night we stayed , although the boat ramp was quite busy with locals . In another site there was a warning to watch for crocodiles! We didn’t swim.
There is a Police Officer who lives in the park. A very nice guy, but his house is not a park office.

A nice quiet park. I stayed overnight in my van and no one bothered me.

Well, we tried calling to get a permit but with no success. In the end we decided to go there and see if there are any signs on the entrance. There were none. We spent a night and it was nice and quiet. Toilets are dirty and there are no doors at all. But well, if you need it, you need it. Still better than noisy rest areas by the main road.
