Grass site fully hidden | Wild Camping

Perfect spot for cyclists between Calafate (ca 35 km) and the parc entrance (ca 15 km) for an quick overnighter. Calm at night, wind protection, great view, just next to the road.

Not a good place to spend the day though imo.

Couldn’t find this exact spot but we found a spot further down the road amongst the trees. Was alright for a tent as there is no better opportunity around, but it’s just directly next to the road which was highly used up to 9pm. Quiet night though.

Note: do not drive on the long gras, as these are very hard gras bumps. We got stuck with our motorbikes trying to find a way behind the trees ;-) could work with good clearance.

Long stretch hidden from the road by trees, don’t think you can park the car hidden though (unless you have a 4wd). We stopped for some shadow to cook lunch in.

We stayed across the road, south side, and we’re able to drive off road and behind the trees. 2 wheel okay but clearance would be recommended. More protected from the prevailing winds and Biden from the road.

This site is just behind the road but fully hidden. You stay between the grass land and the trees with a beautifull view over the mountains
