No a good place for cyclist. Far from road reception is also far from campsite. And overall recepcion is so unfriendly, maybe it was a busy day but the manager was also even rude . No shady sites at campsites. Water was barely warm.
Just a bad experience, if you got good legs this day keep going ahead .

in low Saison Campsite guest are also very welcome at the pool ( in high Saison you probably don't want to be at the pool)
very friendly, nice restaurant

I was staying here for one night before cycling on to Swakopmund through the Namib.
My advice for cyclists:
If you are coming from Solitaire, enjoy the last opportunity of water and a shower before 190km of nothing.
The reception is roughly 8km sandy road away from the camp (you have to cycle it twice). But if you arrive before 2:30 pm at the lodge‘s reception you can get a nice lunch and a cold drink for an ok price. Coming from Solitaire, cycling the extra 16km for the lunch is in my opinion worth it.
If you are coming from Swakopmund and just want a shower and water, I’d recommend instead calling the reception (00264 64 69 4000). They might be willing to make arrangements to spare you the extra km.

At the shared kitchen on the mountain is 3G (MTC) if you step on the balustrade and hold up your phone. Alternatively, if you want to download or upload, you can place your phone on the beams of the roofage in front of the shared kitchen.

Nice campsite with donkey. Communal ablutions. Each site has own braai and water. No electricity when we were here. They do have lights at each campsite but is not working. N$175 pppn. Wood N$65 for 10kg. Nice lodge but very far.

Schöne Lage, super netter Empfang! Unheimlich netter Service.
Campsites (4 Stück) leider direkt neben einander. Aber schöner Blick und weit ab von der Lodge. 275$ pP

Lodge is still open to welcome guests.
No need for booking before.
You can camp at the lodge to stay close by. So swimming pool is available for campers too.
Very excellent meals in the restaurant.
Enjoy a relaxed sundowner!

4 camping spots with good ablutions and a beautiful shaded viewing platform for the sunset on the red mountains, 2km from the road. Jan 2020: 175pP. Little Shade at the sites though. Dinner at the lodge (5km away) is excellent, a-la-carte, no need to book before. Garlic Steak 220N$. Large beer 35. Very welcoming people, beautiful terrace. We enjoyed it very much!
