If you’re on a bicycle this is a nice spot for you. Great view to the lake and volcano Callaqui. You can get here from the road, or better using a horse trail. Bicycle can be left at the bottom of the hill or brought up as we did. There is a spot for at least one tent and a with a small fireplace. Bring water!

Between here and the other side of the hill near the water (heading away from Lonquimay towards ralco ) there is almost no camping. Found a mediocre site within view of the road at the bottom point between the two hills /climbs. Water stream was there. Flat enough, just pretty exposed to the road which is quiet enough but. No other spots I’d say and I was looking.
Report Check-InFortunately, I check the hill on foot before pushing my bike up there. That's not such a great spot; it's exposed, not leveled, and has a hard surface. Once you befriend the cows, there're better spots in the forest below ;)
Report Check-Inreally really cool spot, came about just as I was looking for a place to crash, and amazing views from the tent were a nice surprise!
Report Check-InVery nice view indeed! We were there on a 3 person tent and the flat spot was a tinyyy bit small. We had a bit of an angle down but it was fine. As said before, the pin here marks the split of the road. Walk 500m down the trail, then you’ll see a little hill, it’s up there. We brought our bikes up, there’s enough space. IF you don’t want to go up the hill, you could set your tent down by the path. Plenty of flat spots. It’s hidden from the road.
Ah! And, down the main road there are lots of cows. The night we were there they were having a bit of a singing competition going on all night… haha so that was the only noise. Quite charming :)
Report Check-InVery nice view indeed. The spit is exactly where the gps location is - so just 20 meters from the street. So dont walk up the mountain. And about 500 meters along the streed towards Contracto there is a small river to fill up your water bottels
