As reported before. I arrived at 14:15 and waited for an hour for lunch break, then I talked to the guy in charge as reported and he told me I had to bribe something… I asked him if I was in Mexico.. this is supposed to be a free state service “Vialidad”. So I will make a report to the Carabineros in Cochrane and Vialidad. Road signs at the entrance say it’s 56km to Punta Pisagua and 20 to Río Pascua. There’s a new bridge at this place so the only balsea is 5 km further where you have to bribe to cross.

Boat was on the other side when I arrived.
I drove back 200m to a big house and spoke with 2 people about schedule:
THERE ISN’T ANY.
When the ferry is on the opposite side, you have to wait until the people who crossed come back, in my case ‘probably in a couple of days’, they told me... :(
Therefore, if you cross, and someone else crosses back, you might be stucked on that other side until someone needs to cross again to the side you are in...
In any case, before crossing, I would get in touch with the people from the house 200m away to sort things out...
