Description

Beautiful shady place in the woods directly next to the river.

Water was really clear, you can swim or just enjoy a beer in the water. There are 3 wooden tables with benches and one fireplace. There is place for many campers along the river. You can hear the motorway in the distance, but it's not too loud to disturb your sleep. A bit of trash lying around.

Really great spot for one night or just even to stop by to cool down in the river.

Hermoso lugar y tranquilo, aunque por la fecha estabamos solos. Todo muy limpio, tienes comercio cerca si necesitas comprar algo. 100% recomendable.

Nice place! We spent the night in the tent (beware of glass, we woke up with a flat sleeping pad..). The road showed on google maps is missleading - about 50 meters further west and you find a sign saying 'no botar basura'.

Report Check-In

Nice place by the river to stop for a night. Quite a few other campers, but lots of space to spread out. A bit of trash lying around and you can hear the motorway.

Party and loud music every night
Big area

As described below, quiet place with an amazing river just next to it. We arrived late, the police passed for a control without saying anything. Felt safe.

super nice spot, clear water, few families until 8pm then we were alone and slept very well, just by the river.
On the morning we saw farmer crossing the river with an ox cart so dont park on the dirt road going into water

Excelente lugar… estuvimos 2 dias a orilla del rio, en el pueblo solo hay un negocio… señal movistar 5G.. no hay agua potable, solo la que uno lleve

Report Check-In

wow, what a nice place. we slept here for two very quiet and dark nights. no noise and no light at night. the river is cold but very clear, we jumped in several times. some locals passed by over the day, but noone at night.

one of our best places for a long time.

Report Check-In

Great little spot. Everything is as described. A little trash but not bad. to get there, exit Ruta 5, and follow the road to the last house on the right. You should see a dirt road that takes you to the river camp plenty of room for 5 or 6 vehicles.

Report Check-In

Just as described. We arrived late at night but a neighborhood pointed us the way very friendly. He warned that with heavy rain the river raises but not as to drag your car. Still pay attention if you come here in a rainy moment.

Some workers cleaning up in the morning with a pack of dogs. All nice and quiet people.

Good 4G coverage shared between Claro and Movistar.

We slept here for a second time, this time on our way back to the North. We still really like this place, so close to the highway, but in greenery and at the river. Super dark at night. There was no one there and the villager that live closest to the river checked us out when we parked, but we don’t find this strange. Would also be curious who my neighbours will be for the night. ;) No one bothered us and we stayed till 9:30am the next day not seeing anybody (was Saturday morning). When we drove out of the small town in the morning a man greeted us. Perfect overnight if you go South or North!

wanted to spent the night here and get some groceries before. very strange vibes in the village. we left

Report Check-In

Spent one night on this spot, very nice near the Ruta 5 while going south. There were some locals when we arrived but they left and we were almost alone for the whole night, there was just another group with tents.

Report Check-In

We spent 2 nights on the banks of the river, very quiet with very few people in the area.

There are no services, a good Claro and Movistar signal, it cannot be seen from the road.
.
Pasamos 2 noches a orillas del río, muy tranquilo con muy pocas personas en la zona.

No hay servicios, buena señal de Claro y movistar, no se ve desde la ruta.

Report Check-In

From the south we could not access to the point because there is a 2.8m high bridge and we have a 3m high camper. We had to go north on the highway and exit at Los Pinos, go south again on the highway and then we could acces the river. Pretty nice spot with more room than expected even if a lot of people are enjoying the place as well. Nice place to swim!

Report Check-In

When we arrived this riverside area was full of cars and tents. By 7:30 PM most were clearing out. At 9pm, we were the only ones around. Very quiet, except some distant Ruta 5 noise. We parked next to a riffle in the river, which was nice for the sound of water, and was built to support a little bit of deeper water for swimming. Wild mint growing on the river bank smelled sweet, and wild raspberries were just starting to turn red. There are small fire pits along the riverbank, and we used one for a small fire and roasted marshmallows for the kids. Pulled out the Tenkara fly rod, but not really much action in this shallow section of the river. Awesome place for a free overnight stay along this section of the Ruta 5.

Report Check-In

Scenic riverside spot but think it's just luck whether the local drunks come and harass you. Harmless but annoying. We left and came back and he had gone. The only campsite nearby was 10,000 for the night and the other side of the river is covered in trash so this was the best place.

Report Check-In

We stayed one night at this campsite. It’s super close to the highway, but totally into the greens at the riverside with lots of space. We loved this place! We had a very quiet and dark night (locals were there till 8pm and in the morning first locals going for a walk around 10am). So the morning was also quiet and we enjoyed yoga and a swim in the river before we left.

Report Check-In

Good place to stop between Santiago and Puerto Montt if you don’t want to do the whole drive in a day. We were the only ones there which was nice. Nice level areas under the trees.

Report Check-In

Spot in the shade under the trees and by the river. The path is accessible at the end of the road. We talked with some very nice locals. Be careful not to get too close to the water as the river sometimes overflows. The police came to see us at 3am for a control but they let us sleep here without any problem.

Report Check-In

Clearing in some trees near river. Within ear-shot of Rte 5. Level spot, no trash, picnic table. Relatively easy to find.

Report Check-In

Beatiful public picknick place of the town.
Depending on the wind may be noisy from the highway

Report Check-In

easily accessible and seems like a nice spot however tonight within an hour of us staying here two totally wasted guys passed by our camp, not leaving us alone and there are several beach parties going on. didnt feel very safe so we left for the copec.. wanted to stay at a nicer spot but no luck tonight

Beautiful shady place in the woods directly next to the river. Water was really clear, you can swim or just enjoy a beer in the water. There are 3 wooden tables with benches and one fireplace, but it's not a big camping spot, maybe 3 Vans would fit, but we had that pretty spot the whole time to ourselves. Really great spot for one night or just even to stop by to cool down in the river.
