Casino with restaurants and free wifi nearby (however not at designated parking for overnighters). 24 hour parking lot security. Police regularly patrol. Called and confirmed permission to park. Some large trucks. Feels safe and secure. Walk to casino with restaurants. Friendly staff. Great spot! I stayed 4 nights and you could stay much longer. No issues.
NB: Campers must park at the designated RV / Truck-section of the parking lot. It is reached by turning left at the first stop sign on the parking lot and driving past the employee parking until you see the parking spots on your right.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Spent two nights here. Left during the day and returned, patronized the casino and stayed the 2nd night. Security patrolled the parking area. Felt safe..
A there were a handful of trailers, RVs, semi, and vans each night. I stayed on a Tuesday and Wednesday.
Nights were quiet. there was a nice breeze so
temperature was comfortable. I slept late and left mid afternoon- no one bothryrd
It’s located in an industrial area, so the sound of heavy machinery starts up early in the mornings.
Stayed here overnight. No issues with security or anyone telling us to move. Had a hard time finding the RV area at first as there are no signs, so we called the hotel and they were super nice and gave us the okay to park overnight in this section. Turn left at the first stop sign and drive all the way down, you’ll see longer spots near some buildings on the opposite side of the lot from the casino and hotel. If you see the employee parking, you’ve gone too far.
Report Check-Incar camped a little toward the end of the parking lot. there were other cars and a few unhooked big rigs. felt really secure with their security car doing laps. they didn't even say anything to me when I slept with my doors open for ~1 hr to get the breeze in.
Report Check-InNice place. Couldn't find any other rigs so I called real nice. No problem told me where to stay. Small Casino with a sandwich bar and other restaurants that open at night. Bathroom inside.
Report Check-InSpent all our 3 nights in New Orleans at Boomtown Casino without any issues whatsoever. Parked at the RV parking spots in the corner of the parking lot which you reach by turning left at the first stop sign after entering the premises.
It's a little far out from New Orleans, but that means that it is quiet. With the security and regular presence of police, we felt safe at all times.
I supect that you could literally spend days on end here. While we were away for most of the day, we usually stayed for a few hours in the morning and came back before dinner. Had our Starlink out on the grass for most of the time.
Lots of other campers around as well as a few trucks. Restrooms can be used at the hotel.
Would stay again given the opportunity.
Report Check-InGreat spot to sleep overnight even in a car. Peaceful and quiet. Well-lit. Was never approached by anybody. Hotel next to casino has bathrooms and water fountains by the entrance.
Report Check-InReally big parking where you can park at the far end on your left. there were ready 2 RVs when we arrived and a third join in later. Security are very present. they are going around the casino parking often and pass beside us everytime but don't say anything. it just made us feel more safe :)
On thing tho! dont know if it is always like that (or because were Thanksgiving) but I would check before deciding to stay the night.
the casino is in an industrial sector so the might be a lot of noises. It was fine yesterday (Thanksgiving) apart for an alarme that was on ALL day and night but this morning at 6H30 we were earing tucks and bangs etc...
Couldn't take pictures cause it was to foggy :/
Big thumbs up. As described turn left at the stop sign inside the gates. Very quiet and peaceful. Excellent stop.
Report Check-InStayed here for 7 nights!! It was safe, quiet, and had plenty of grass for my dogs. Once you enter, turn left and head all the way down till you see a small building and potentially truckers. You’ll know your in the right place because the parking spaces are LONG. Plenty of room.
We attempted to stay other places in NOLA, but nothing compared to the safety and quietness.
Report Check-InNice site, as described by others.
Some notes though: we were in a small van and parked on the fringes of where other casino guests were. Security knocked on the door at 530am and told us (very politely) that we were in the wrong spot. Correct spot for campers is on the far edge (left side corner as you drive in). We didn't see any other RVs or vans in that area just some overnighting long-haul trucks, but that's the area. It was stinking hot the night we were here and our van doesn't have AC, so our double-coated dog wanted to sleep outside. We put her bed out and tied her to the vehicle and she was much happier, but security told us someone had reported an abandoned dog and that's why they came. Again, they were super lovely about it and understanding of the heat issue, and said we were welcome to do the same thing in the RV section.
Anyway, we were only here for a night and the rest was good. Security and police on site all the time so very safe. It's a very well lit casino car park though so make sure you've got blackouts for your windows or you're fine wearing a eye mask or whatever. Happy camping :)
Report Check-InExcellent stay. Came here after cruising by a Walmart listed here- no vans/RVs there and it felt super sketch and very noisy. I come here, see a few RVs hunkered down for the night on the left side. Very quiet, well lit, safe. Perfect. But far from the action (other areas of interest). Nice to have this as a back up if you’re not finding another good spot.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay the night. Safe place to stay with bathrooms available and good Verizon phone coverage. We stayed one night and plan on staying two more nights.
Report Check-InBoontown Casino. Big open flat parking lot, big enough for any size rig. Good Verizon and TMobile signal. Bring you own food. Casino restaurants are closed. Only option is hamburgers and hotdogs
Report Check-InSpent two nights here, short drive in to New Orleans. Very peaceful and quiet, big parking lot, canal river view. Nice bathrooms, casino is open 8am - 5am through the night.
Win a little money in blackjack and the casino is paying you to stay here
Good place to spend the night. Nobody bothered us at the edge of the parking lot. Better than downtown New Orleans, security on site all night.
Report Check-InThe staff is SO nice here and the security vehicles have rolled by 3 times already with no issues, and I feel very protected here. Nearby WiFi and restaurants, hotel bathrooms are super nice and empty, and plenty of space. There are a few other (what look to be) campers here as well!
Report Check-InLarge level parking lot for RVs. No charge. Sheriff security. Very quiet!
Report Check-InWe spent two nights there. No need to check in. Called to confirm. Pretty quiet for lotdocking.
