For what we understand, another highway is planned and would affect the land of 24 ejidos (community lands).
Sign said 120, locals asking for 50. We gave them 20, she said minimum 40 but let us pass when we said it was all we had. The lady was kind and advised there would be more of these 'toll booths' charging 50. She suggested we go to the Oxxo down the road and get cash out so we could colaborar with their cause. Still not totally clear on what the cause is....

Yet another abandoned toll booth run by locals. Wanted 50mxn but we played dumb and handed them 20 and they let us pass.
