Description

An alright place with most amenities. Wifi is painfully slow.
Gate locked, but call number listed at door or make yourself visible/audible. +52 444 204 3035.

Like others have pointed out, the entrance gate is a real doozie - heavy metal, chained shut. It's also the only exit from the rv park so you've got to navigate it anytime you want to go out. The good - it's a pretty big facility for the number of campers we saw. Power and water were included although the water had very little pressure. Bathroom looked clean but we didn't need to use it. Averaged out to about $17 USD/night so it is cheap. The not so good - there are a number of "junk" piles around the property and a car on blocks or two. Not exactly great scenery. Owners were nice, friendly and accommodating. Spanish speaking only.

Pedro, the owner is an extraordinary guide, mechanic, lawyer, he can take us to visit San Luis Potosi with his vehicle and he just asks for a tip, talking with him is a great moment of sharing!!! A place to absolutely discover!!!

Report Check-In

A very quiet link, we spent two days there, with Peter taking us into town as a guide before returning to pick us up. He also changed the oil in our car, going straight out to buy the oil and filter we needed. He didn't charge us anything extra for this, but we normally paid him for his work.

Pretty good place , Peter is very friendly , he gave me a ride to the Centro back and forth , wifi very slow , be careful electricity was 154v !!! My converter didn’t like it at all , the washroom were a bit dirty

350 pesos/nuit

Superb welcome by Peter. There is everything you need here. A sanidump, water, electricity, clean toilets and hot showers. Playground for children and an aviary of parakeets. The wifi is good enough and Peter offered to go directly next to the router if we ever needed a stronger signal. There is a llama and a horse on the site, but they are super nice and Peter puts them in the stable when there are campers. Peter is super generous.

Very friendly owner. pretty much as described. Peter is also a mechanic and helped us get our truck repaired. Town of San Luis Potosi about 30 min away. Clean city with everything you may need. Lovely quiet place to sleep.

Great place, peaceful and secure, Pedro the owner a great person, the facilities are ok, clean and hot water wifi perfect

Report Check-In

Everything as described. We ended up staying here for 2 weeks. You soon get the hang of the big heavy metal gate! Our 2 year old loved the play area and use of owners tricycle. The area has everything you need in terms of running errands and there is a few things to do in Mexquite de Carmen, such as a Zoo, a cool statue to go climb up, and a local fair on the beach every Sunday. And of course accessing SLP is not difficult. Pedro and his wife are so hospitable. We want to thank them for welcoming us and treating us like family.

Report Check-In

Easy to find, harder to get to the place. A heavy silvery metal gate with chain must be opened. Chain away, lift bolts on the ground and open the gate. The owner lives on the premises and in the evening he is safely on site. PLACE at the moment a bit orphaned, but owner very nice and helpful. Even drove us to San Luis Potosi and picked us up again. Large area suitable for all RV, with electricity, water, hot shower (preheat) and good WiFi. Laundry 5 min. away.

Report Check-In

We stayed one night, very quite and very safe.
We sent a WhatsApp to Peter a couple of hours before our arrival and he attended us in a super friendly and kind way.
He is really kind and we could tell he would go far and beyond to help if someone needed.
Still 300M$ per night.

Report Check-In

we had a good time in this beautiful place. nice walks on the lake and a very nice host who offered us his help several times. we also drove into town with peter. so we could explore san luis potosi. highly recommended.

Great place to stay. Stayed for two weeks in my van with my five dogs and two cats. Peter is a wonderful host, although he speaks little English. He was very kind and honest. Still 300 pesos per night, no weekly rate. The property is secure and fully fenced, great to let your animals run around. Ice cream shop and small supermarket next door. I was the only one here for the first 1.5 weeks of my stay. Peter will take you into SLP the city in his own car for a tip. His seafood restaurant next door is open on the weekends and has great prices and great food. Behind the campground there is direct access to a large lake. It's very busy on the weekends but quiet during the week at the lake. He has a Kayak you can borrow. The downtown area of this small town is just crossing the dam of the lake. It's quite small but has tbe oldest church in SLP state which is beautiful. Wifi is very fast but cuts out somewhat regularly depending on the day. Large bathroom with hot water showers. Peter is also a mechanic and did an oil change for me for a reasonable price as well as some minor cosmetic repairs for a tip. He also has some local connections who helped me repair my plastic bumpers. He is also a real estate lawyer and can help you purchase property if you are interested. I had an issue with my dogs and a local wandering sheep flock and Peter helped me sort it out where I didn't get taken advantage of or feel unsafe. If you're looking for a quiet place to rest, this is it. He is currently open and the best way to reach him is by whatsapp +52 444 204 3035, in advance if possible. He also leads caravan tours with his RV throughout Mexico in case you are looking for that service. Very honest and kind man.

Had no luck getting into this place. Tried calling the number several times, asked in the paleta shop next door, found the back exit and rang the bell... nada. we decided to camp on the beach by the reservoir for the night. Cops showed up at 8pm and told us it was dangerous. They directed us to the Pemex around the corner. Pemex was chill, no charge to park for the night, minimal traffic.

I arrived at this place and it is closed. The phone number doesn’t work and nobody is here

Very secure.
clean single bathroom. with hit water if you turn on the boiler.
shoes are advised due to the thorn cover of the ground with thorns that go through flip flops.
poorly maintained. in it's hay day it would have been pretty good.
old playground with clown heads around the garden and bird avery.
Peter is great and offered to take us downtown for the day.
close to the zoo, across the lake.

Good for 1 or 2 night . Peter is a good man . For enter in the RV campground you have to phone. The number is on the door . Peter is inside.
Very secure and quiet. Good for big rig. The road north is perfect to access campground .

Report Check-In

Great secure campsite with power and water at site and an easy access dump station. Bit run down and there is no more hot water. Owner very kindly drove us to San Luis Centro and picked us up again for only a "propino". Unfortunately not much else to do in the area.

Report Check-In

Quiet place for a night stop. Playground for kids. Very convenient small supermarket next to it, with pretty much everything (apart from meats) and even bread for breakfast !
Accessible for big RV.

Good place close to San Luis Potosí
Everything looks like old stuff but hot shower electricity
Nice place for our kids
300 pesos

Report Check-In

The RV Park can be reached on good streets from the highway. Our GPS sent us on very bad roads to the park. This may be good for a 4WD but not for a motorhome. The RV Park is as described. Pedro is very friendly. We chose the site with the softest ground and got stuck. Pedro had to tow us out.

Report Check-In

Port in a storm. Neglected and run down. Looks like it had an amusement park theme going some time in the past. Rather sad now. WiFi good. Grassy areas loads of nasty thorns and star shaped seeds, open shoes no good here. Friendly owner. For us, good for one night stop over.

Report Check-In

Nice and secure place to spend the night. Restrooms and shower were not that great but the rest worked fine. As said, outside the place there's a mercado where you can buy good and fresh fruit and vegetables.

Report Check-In

Very nice. Friendly owners. Electric and water (low pressure) at each site. Only one dump station for the park. Clean washrooms. Very secure. Good wifi. Kids will love all the little goodies in the park. Close to bus-stop for San Luis Potosi, a great city to visit. Nice veggies and fruit beside entrance. Park wall is brightly colored and gates are yellow. They will be closed but you might be able to push/pull one side open. If not, just telephone or get attention next door. 350 pesos per night.

Report Check-In

A decent place to stay. Paid 350 pesos for water and electric hookup.

Report Check-In

Good timing to find this place after a long day. Might looked locked but give the gate a hard push after removing chain. Still 300mx. Nice place, clean showers. Dog's name is Ben. Very quiet. Tel. Number as per earlier post.

Report Check-In

As others said, gate locked but no number. Here it is +52 1 444 204 3035
Water and electricity, bathrooms pretty neglected. No problem for big rigs - branches have been trimmed. Very good wifi, may be because we are the only people to camp.

Report Check-In

We loved it here. The owners could not be more helpful and kind. We planned to stay for 3 nights and ended up staying 8. Convenient to SLP if you have a vehicle. Big rigs might have trouble because some trees need to be trimmed back. We were in a 35 motor home. Excellent wifi and electruc was good. Also 300 pesos.
