Description

Overnight parking allowed.
Rest stop that does not allow trucks/semis. Also has a separate parking area for campers so less through traffic. Also a big hill separated the parking from the highway which keeps the noise down. Restrooms and nice views of the lake. Pretty good for a rest stop. Westbound has a rest area, but trucks are allowed, and no hill.

Quiet overnight car camping. Clean bathrooms and water spigot available. You can't barely hear the highway and beautiful view to wake up to.

Open. Two hour limit. Great Lake views and a nice stop.

Very pretty and mostly quiet for a rest stop. Bathrooms were very clean. We were able to back up and pull around and top off our water before leaving. The woman working there came over to us and said she wasn’t sure if we were supposed to get water and we explained about seeing it on an APO designed for those living off-grid like us and she said “well then I guess it’s okay!”

One of the most beautiful rest stops I’ve been to in the country. The lake is gorgeous, great sunset view. Plenty of parking spots. Plenty of picnic tables, most are shaded. Not the most quiet but big hill blocks good amount of traffic noise. I wouldn’t say it’s loud. Bathrooms open 24/7 and clean from my experience.

no trucks. pretty quiet. beautiful scenery beside the river. pretty empty on a Friday night.

Excellent spot. Had no issues parking and staying the night in my Class B Camper Van. I parked in area for "RV/Campers."

LOVE this rest stop! One of the most gorgeous rest areas I’ve been to! Tons of pet walk areas, and stairs for some heart pumping exercise! I did not use the toilets, can’t speak for how clean they are.

As the OP mentioned, there is indeed a separate side for campers, no semis allowed, and a hill in between the rest area and highway. No signs restricting overnights. This stop sits on a huge lake and it’s beautiful! Shady parking spots as well as direct sun spots for us solar seekers. ;-)
