Nice place. 30 amp electric, water (non potable), and septic. Safe and secure, easy access to the beach, restaurant, crocodiles and iguanas! Roads is are nice, no problems with our 21' trailer and truck. Great town and good food!

we spent one night here, it was 300 pesos for 2 people in a van

we got the last available spot, but this morning 3 of us packed up to leave. I think the rest of the site is all long-term people, so there are about 3 spaces with hook ups available on a first come first serve basis

it was very close to the beautiful beach of La Ropa, and walking distance to lots of restaurants.

we found it to be incredibly hot in the campground though - it's concrete walls on all sides so the heat really gets trapped in, and there wasn't much of a breeze. you also aren't allowed dogs on the beach so there was nothing we could do with our dogs there other than keep them inside the van with the air conditioning on full blast.

while there are lots of restaurants nearby there are no services like groceries, laundry, etc.

Had a fantastic stay here, friendly staff and neighbouring longtermers.
we spent 2 nights sat and sun. We cooked ourselves so didn't eat at the restaurant but the food looked nice. it was cool seeing the iguanas and alligators literally right at the restaurant. The beach is lovely and the water was perfect to refresh after giving our van a deep clean.
the WiFi and toilets were decent. They provide waste, electricity and water at each site. We'll worth a stay.

This place is closed after Semana Santa (Easter) until December. Could not find another place. In the evening, I parked my rv under a tree in the street. Too hot to close the doors. I was not annoyed. It got cooler during the night.

We stayed 6 nights and had the whole place to ourselves! The shower has very very low pressure but got the job done. My husband used the outdoor shower which had better pressure.
It’s lovely to camp here amongst the wildlife. We counted at least 40 iguanas ( when the restaurant feeds them the trees come alive with them!) 3 crocodiles (2 adults and a baby ) and lots of beautiful birds. We were able to put our fruit scraps out for the iguanas and watch them eating while we had our own breakfast. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but used their terrific wifi to do a bit of work and download Netflix for the next leg of our journey.
You can walk to town along the beach in about 25 minutes and the pedestrian zone is fun for a visit or dinner $60 pesos one way for a taxi!
We stayed here back in 2009 and nothing has changed since then. The wall out back where the camping is still needs a good coat of paint!
It’s hot here so crap a place in the shade despite all the stuff that will fall from the trees onto your rig

Stayed 3 weeks and is very good place. The restaurant is good. Wifi is spotty. Other camper friendly and helpful. The beach is wonderful perfect for swimming and walking. Small market is not far. 300 pesos a night. Well worth it. Hope to get back there. water sewer and electric at sites. Good security

Nice gated parking lot for an unmarked restaurant right on the beach. We are the only ones here. Beach access to the bay is through the restaurant. Excellent swimming with no waves. I guess since we are the only ones here they have no trash cans out. We forgot to ask about the dogs and they didn’t ask either. So we’re the van driving south with the little bags hanging out the back door! The restaurant is and excellent spot for a reasonably priced good meal at sunset on the beach. Beer, wine shrimp with coconut and pecans and mahi with a lime cream sauce for $660 Mx. not cheap but soo good! At this time they said the wifi is not working so we used the last of our prepaid data to upload the latest YouTube video.

Adorable! Right on the beach with mangroves right next to it! We saw iguanas, crocodiles, and turtle! 400 pesos a night for a 22ft rig with our 3 kids. No showers, but good toilets. Fun place! My kids love it!

close until November. but you can stay on the road

Report Check-In

very few spots and all full of rude french canadians. they hate newcomers and try to chase you out when you arrive. very bad vibes at this place. if you have a big rig, don't bother, because there is a low gate that you will hit unless you go down the wrong side of the road leading up to the park. you wont know where it is so you'll probably end up having to do a u-turn and holding up traffic. zihua is blah anyway. keep going and head for playa zipolite. thats where heaven is.

Little neat campground. Ideal to explore Zihuatanejo or visit the Museo Xihuacan and argeological site.

Report Check-In

We stayed over two weeks here and enjoyed it. It’s well situated in Zihuatanejo and big rig friendly 31’ and Jeep in tow. Great beach access through the restaurant. We carried our SUP and chairs through daily. Restaurant closed on Wednesday’s so don’t arrive unannounced. We had a key to access gates as it’s locked after hours. It’s quite full of snow birds until early March. It is quite literally adjoining a mangrove habitat. Amazing birds, iguanas and 4 crocodiles. Great snorkeling, stand-up paddle and small boogie boarding. RV sites close end of April and reopens November. Water pressure is low so we top off our tank daily. No ground tents allowed.

Report Check-In

We are in June and it was close... but the restaurant was open it was late and the owner let us park! But still 300M even if low saison. No water this morning.

Report Check-In

Management said no tents, we asked about rooftop and he did 200mxn. But honestly you are not allowed to bring food / booze into the restaurant which is the access to the beach and we couldn't afford the food! Did not stay... It was just a grassy parking lot. No facilities.

Great place. Great town. Safe. Water pressure is low like all Mexican rv parks. But the price is cheap 300 pesos with a discount for a week (1,600 pesos). Watch out Google maps takes you in the wrong way down very tiny streets and a hill that no rig would be able to do. Check the photos, these are after the round about in Zihua. If google maps tells you to turn on a very narrow street keep going straight. The roads here are very rv friendly as large touring busses park just outside on the corner. Also there is a low "bridge" or arch close to the park. About 11' clearance. Simply go in the wrong side (other side of the street opposing traffic) and go around the bridge. Those were the only two obstacles we faced with our 37' class a. Also note that there are wild crocodiles in the estuary next door. The foot bridge to the awesome beach is right over top of the crocs. Sometimes they come up on land. Beautiful night herons with a rookery here and plenty of 10+' iguanas to watch for entertainment.
