Tons of space. Road in is good then the actual areas are hard packed rocks and very level. Lots of fire rings. Desert vegetation in between different rock areas. Nice view of mountains all around. Nice and quiet. Good for multiple nights easily. Verizon 2 bars.
Report Check-InCheck in with host, fill out form for free BLM permit. Lots of good spots, all sizes RV's can be accommodated. Decent Tmobile signal, many nice spots by trees
Report Check-InSo many places to pick from. Plomosa is paved with turn offs into relatively flat camping areas. Plenty of room so neighbors are not so close as in the campgrounds.
Report Check-InFirst time camping on BLM land. We were attracted to the area because the main road is paved and the transitions getting into the camping areas are relatively smooth and easy. Plenty of room to park and enjoy the dry desert air and the views.
Report Check-Ingenerally level camping area; best suited for RV or trailer camping. small but prolific number of stones would make tent camping uncomfortable w/o a thick sleeping pad.
Report Check-InGreat place, cool people, lots of options for vibes and space. Need to be proactive to meet people. Verizon LTE not strong enough for vid calls on hotspot but could do some basic work during the early week, was too slow/busy later in the week. Amazing sunsets. Leash your dog pls.
Report Check-InWe stayed here for about 3 days. LOTS of land, lots of campers but MUCH more space than any campground. Generally quiet if you get a spot away from the main road.
Report Check-InFree boondocking in the desert. Come with empty black & grey tanks and full fresh water.
Report Check-InIt's beautiful seeing the sunrise and sunset here. Mot as full anymore. pretty quiet at night and mornings
Report Check-InNice area for camping. Lots of campers this time of year, especially with the RV tent show and rock/gem show going on. Slow reception with verizon in the evenings but not bad during the day. Great sunsets!
Report Check-InTons of open space. Close to Quartzite which has great amenities for travelers
Report Check-InStayed just one night. Plenty of others staying nearby. No amenities but a few fire pits. plenty of space.
Report Check-Inwide open flat area, far enough from the main road to be quiet. good verizon service. no facilities. no shade. lots of area to pull thru, lots of fire rings haphazardly strewn about.
Report Check-InStayed here one night and it was fine. Lots of other overlanders, but we followed the road closer to the Day Use area and had the spot to ourselves. No amenities, but free. Good cell service on ATT.
