Report Check-In

*Update: Camping is only allowed outside the gate right next to the highway. Free and there's a vigilante all night. As for the volcano, its active right now so they're only allowing people up for 5 minutes for the day tour and 15 minutes for the night. (For the night tour they open the gates at 5:30 and people start lining up in their cars an hour before that, so get there early to be sure to get a spot!)

Currently open! :) all prices still the same.

Report Check-In

Was open with short 15 minutes allowed to stare into tge depths of a very active boiling churning ocean of volitile lava! Wow. no camping inside but they did let us stay just outside the locked gates under the trees for tge night for free. the night tour is soo worth it!

Report Check-In

- camping at the parking lot by the visitor center of the park
- you need to pay the entrance (100 C/person) plus camping fee (50 C/person)
- facilities only during opening hours of the visitor center
- there is a guard during the night, but you are pretty much free to roam around the park if you are discreet - opportunity to spot some wildlife
- we talked to ranger Joel (speaks English) who took us on an extra night tour (for less than the official $10/person).
- nice views from the visitor's center terrace
- do the hike around eastern crater - 45 minutes, great views, sheer drops :)

Report Check-In

Camping here N100 + N100 per head entry. Night watchman on duty. No facilities except picnic tables but toilets in museum when open.

In addition to 100 Cordoba / person admission fee for the park. Camping in the parking lot of the Visitor Center. Toilets can be used during the opening times of the Visitor Center (9am - 5pm). No showers. At night a guard is in the area. After the closure of the park it was very quiet and we could spread out in the parking lot.

(Bottom of the checkout was required only 200 Cordoba, after a protest there were suddenly only 50 Cordoba / person)
