Something not right?

Description

BLM dispersed camping area along road NP230. This site is at the base of a mountain and has a boulder field. Right across the road is a canyon that is beautiful and should be hiked. Don’t go off the main road if it is wet, ground is soft and 99% you’ll get stuck.

camped here for three nights with my dog. rarely saw another vehicle though a 4-by rolled through over a hill once and surprised themselves when they found me there. great little fire pit under the rock and solitude! had decent cell service to check email in the evenings for Wave permit. saw a few other areas along the road that would have been great as well.

A few nice spots just off gravel road that is seldomly used. Had 3 cars pass in 4 hours but was here on a Thursday.

beautiful location 4 bars of 4g T-Mobile. easy to get to for any vehicle. No noise but the wind at night. very pleasant

Awesome spot big enough to park a dozen + rigs. It’s definitely worth the long drive down the road. Saw some hikers the next morning but nobody at night. The stars we amazing!!!! A couple rock fire pits spread around the site and lots of big boulders to block wind. Good AT&T and Verizon signal. I worked off my phone hotspot all day. Enjoy and bring lots of firewood. Closest place to buy more was back in Page or we would have stayed a few more days.

Only warning: I could see this place being a little tricky if it has just rained hard or is about to. But I don’t think that happens much.

definitely a new favorite campsite. beautiful sunrise and sunset. my dog loved running up and down the dirt piles. beautiful view of the stars as well.

Great spot! It’s inside Glen Canyon National Recreation Area where they have the allowed 14-day camping limit. It’s on Smokey Mountain Rd according to Maps. A few bumps in the road getting here but nothing crazy. My 2WD low clearance van was fine. Good Verizon cell service. I was the only one which was perfect. Saw a few ATVs and trucks buzz by but that’s it. It’s been one of my favorite spots i’ve stayed so far.

Exactly as described. There is a small creek thing that you have to pass but I think it’s very doable even for a small car. If you don’t wanna pass the little creek there is a camp area just on the right side. The drive All the way in following these coordinates is worth it. I camped In the sites worth the two big rocks and it was quiet for the night. T-Mobile service very good across the path from the campsite. I would definitely camp here again.

Great spot nestled into the huge fallen rocks. No road noise, beautiful stars, little fire pit tucked behind a big boulder to block the wind (we didn’t have any wind anyways). We just passed through and stayed for a night but we saw some of the best stars from our entire trip, and the low elevation meant it was warmed than we’ve grown accustomed to. Pup LOVED digging and running on the sandy hills. We did drive through a very small stream on the way in. ATT service switched between 3 and 4G and was mysteriously unusable when on 3G.

It really feels like the middle of nowhere. It’s a long winding gravel road that’s easy traveling. Quiet very silent and then a Jeep will speed by. I really like it the landscape varies and is beautiful. Good cell service with straight talk.
