Something not right?

Description

Many free campsites to choose from all within walking distance to the Margarita Trailhead. Fire rings but no other amenities. Great views of the mountains in Zion NP. The road us good but steep and narrow the last quarter mile. One corner us too right for big rigs. Not very good cell reception.

Beautiful, well maintained, safe, private feeling(even with neighbor campers), and just down the road from Zion. Free! BLM land next to a ranch. Highly recommend. Road is good going in but a little steep the last 1/4 mile.

If you need a quick spot to sleep this might not be worth it. If you're into beautiful views and sick gnarly mountain biking this is perfect. Trailhead to "the whole guacamole" and great views of Zion NP. One bar of Verizon is good for Nothing but the sunset and views makes it worth it! also there is a ton of dead trees chopped down and put into perfect firewood piles. I know "wood gathering" Is generally frowned upon but it's all cut and neatly stacked like it's meant to be burnt..

highly recommended. as described great place. beautifull view on the mountains with a breathtaking sunset. fine bike/ bike trail as well.

First whole section of the road is privately owned, keep going until the way end of Dalton Wash Rd. to the top and you’ll see a bunch of campsites with fire rings. No toilets, primitive BLM land camping. People here car camping and with tents. About 6 other small groups of people around, feel safe. The road to the sites is doable in even my 2003 solara, some steep slopes. Very nice view with good stargazing on a clear night. Bugs were pretty bad until the sun went down. I either have no Verizon service or one bar.

Amazing spot about as close as humanly possible to the boundaries of Zion NP. There are a lot of spots up here if you are willing to look around. We got here on a Saturday afternoon and had no problem finding a spot. No service on the way up but once we got to the top we had decent Verizon coverage.

Stunning vistas all around. Confirm the last quarter mile is steep and narrow. We are in a 23' Skoolie with a 4' motorcycle lift on the back. I wouldn't recommend anything bigger than this .

huge place with many spots. mostly flat, awesome views. Rough road for moments but any car can do it.

Report Check-In

It's totally BLM land with no services except a scenic sunset/sunrise. Long drive up a very bumpy road for about 15 min to the open areas to park.

Exactly as described by previous post. plenty of open spaces for camping. great views. quiet and peacful. not many camper the night we stayed. most people come for the sunset and then head back down. road is up was a very well maintained dirt road. no need for 4x4. sadly, be ready to clean up after others.

Great spot at the top of dalton wash road. Easy to get to in a Prius, just pick your line right. Gnats were miserable in the morning, otherwise an amazing spot! Bring firewood

Report Check-In

Beautiful place, cactus and wild flowers in bloom. Road is good but could be impassable if wet. Bring insect repellent as gnats were terrible.
