Flat disused piece of land in middle of Santa Elena. Relatively quiet overnight. No facilities. WIFI available if you go to Hotel and get password. Free. Alternatively ‘The Common Cup’ coffee shop is close, very good and has wifi.

no longer free. hourly charge parking lot. stayed at La Colina up towards the cloud forest. Showers, toilets, wifi, fire pit. Nice view.
***new free spot-park in front of coffee shop and a place called Wholefoods (!) Owner of WF is a nice chap and was very interested in my adventure. Tried the organic locally made chocolate which was nice. Wifi from the coffee shop was left on at night. I had earlier bought a very expensive Americano so didn't feel like stealing the signal was undeserved :)
