Report Check-InCamping was free and safe (as the police told us). Quiet during the night. At daytime you pay 3.000 CRC for the guarded parking lot. In the hostel-restaurant nearby is free wifi, close to the beach are showers.
Report Check-InThe closest place to camp if you plan to visit the park. In fact the beach here is not too different than the park itself. It's just free. The overhanging branches provide a nice shade but make it impossible for tall vehicles. There is maybe one spot for a large one but it didn't look good. We pitched a tent in front of our truck by the beach. There are a few guys who live in the shacks and provide umbrellas and parking for the day crowd at the beach. The parking attendant 'Luis' would cast well for a serial killer role, but he's cool. They didn't name a price for camping but accept 'donations'.
Report Check-InParqueo. expensive. We found a lot on the ‘public beach’ sea front that was willing to allow us to stay overnight. (Near end of road) for only C3000.
