music until 1am, dud not stay, apparently a "touristic area" but this place is very much dead.. several closed restaurants and stores, all 3 large public bathrooms are all padlocked and closed, swimming in lake is sh*t because it's very shallow several hundred metres out from shore, no tourists around only locals, police station and visitor centre gone, lakeside path is cracked up and deteriorated.. nice enough spot but sadly neglected and forgotten

Best place we could find to stay for free in Granada, locals said it was safe, it has good wifi and a children park.
Report Check-InStayed here for two nights. Quiet nights with a nice breeze from the lake. The wifi here is surprisingly good. Possibly better than most of the cafes we've been to in Nicaragua. it gets even better later at night after everyone leaves.
Report Check-InSpot by the lake on a parking lot. There are toilets in the park but we did not use them. We felt very safe, it was quiet and we got wifi. Free I recommend.

Report Check-InWe went to ask to the police about staying in the place marked as city park and several of them told us it was not safe at night. They recomended us to go to park in front of hotel Granada. Also they didn't let us park in their parking lot. Fortunately the policía turística (INTER) told us to park in this place because they are all night here so they will look after us. Negative thing: you hear the music of a bar that is close
