Beautiful Oasis with palm trees and free camping. Local people come to chill during the day but at night it's peaceful.

Be careful with dogs at night.

Beautiful place in between Palmtrees. We camped here one night with our 2wd van without a problem. Police came by but only said:
Tents are not allowed.

Report Check-In

We ended up camping here as we were send away by a car full of women in Burkhas deeper in the wadi. Their car had signs of a nature reserve or so. Argued with them for a while why we couldn't camp deeper in the wadi but they couldn't really give an answer.

This spot is not as idyllic as deeper in the wadi as there are more people here and barking dogs all night.

Edit: at 3:30 AM 2 other rangers came by and send us away too. We spoke with them for 10 minutes to be allowed to spend the rest of the night here. In the end they allowed us but if you want a quiet night, go 1 km further towards the end of the wadi. There it is apparently allowed according to the last rangers. They have mixed rules and no signs, so be prepared for a broken night.

Report Check-In

Entering the Wadi with a big rig is prohibited at all.

Police stopped us at this point saying motorcycles are not allowed in the canyon. They told us we had to leave immediately or be arrested! We happily left the area and found a quiet camp nearby.

Beautiful green oasis in a stunning rocky scenery. After driving through the first pool we were greeted by friendly police. We were allowed to camp in the palm forest, but not allowed to drive further as our van is 2WD. Next morning we walked in the valley and didn’t regret doing it on foot. It’s so peaceful and quiet (at least during the week). Would still be possible to enter deeper without 4WD we think.

Really nice campground with incredible scenery. Met some locals and enjoyed an evening with food, tea and conversation.

Meanwhile, apparently it’s not allowed to set up ground tents anymore. In the morning, some police/security personnel woke us up and wanted to give us a fine for doing so. We talked our way out of it but seems to be new rules and that you needed some kind of camping permit.

Deep sand if you want to continue further into the wadi. Also seems like the police won’t allow motorcycles to continue further in than the oasis anymore so if you are on a motorcycle you should probably try to enter from the north.

If you have a car/camp it should be fine. It’s a truly incredible place so you should ensure to visit!

Motorbikes are not allowed beyond this point. I tried to avoid eye contact and went inside valley - they chased me and escorted me back 🤭😂 . U can sty under palm trees.

Its open so good place to be
You can camp there but the best will be in winter time

Report Check-In

If you are entering the Wadi this direction it is a good place to camp. Further down it gets more narrow so it is difficult to find a spot. On the other side of the Wadi there are plenty more places to camp.

This wadi is breathtaking. The oasis is in the very beginning or ending ;-). With a 4x4 car you can drive through. Fun offroad driving. For a big rig it is difficult even there are often different tracks. There is one with reed grass which is too narrow and low for us e.g. But we walked through. It is just fantastic!

Very nice place to camp under the palmtrees. If you have 4x4 you can drive deeper into the wadi and camp anywhere, with 2wd you can drive up to the parking and walk 5 minutes to set up camp here. We were here on a Friday and around 22h everyone had left so it was a quiet night. Police is on sight the whole night, but didn’t ask any questions.

i have spent here one night about 1 km inside the wadi (entering from south). around 8:00 pm almost no cars anymore and it was a perfect night all on my own with breathtaking stars at night and beautiful sunrise.. to cross the wadi it is about 20-25 km. 4x4 not really necessary if there is not too much water..

Report Check-In

You can camp all along the wadi without problems. A real 4x4 (not a SUV :) is needed to enter the wadi as there is river crossing right at the entrance (maybe dry during hot season)

Beautiful Oasis for free camping. Local people come to chill during the day but at night it's peaceful.
