Description

Very nice place just north of Puerto Viejo but easy walking distance into town. 10$/night for a shared room with 4 beds 2 fans and shared bathrooms (had the room to myself). Private rooms available. Fast internet. CRAFT BEER FROM VERMONT BREWER (at a decent price)!!! Good coffee, restaurant, and brewery. Other cheap options for food in town. Friendly staff that speaks English, Spanish, and Patois. Stunning black sand beach out the front door. Secure parking for motorcycles and cars. Very quiet at night.

Latest Check-Ins

we just stopped here for some beers with hopes of asking to camp in our van. they said they don't brew beers any more and only had a terrible cider on tap. they didn't even have Pilsen! so we left without asking about staying.

I don’t think they get many requests to camp on their property, because the front desk staff was very confused when we asked, but she was also incredibly friendly and helpful. She called the owner, who wanted $20 for us to rooftop tent camp in the back parking lot. Crazy expensive so we didn’t stay overnight (we were here during Semana Santa, the busiest time of the year, so prices in the area were sky high overall). We did try the beer before we skidattled and it was delicious!

We paid $ 10 / car. The internet was not working very well.

Paid $25usd for a private room with shared bathroom. Slow wifi, cold shower, excellent beer. Loud at night, loud in the morning. Would not recommend.

This is a hostel + brewery. The staff could not have been friendlier, and the food and beer were excellent! They didn't charge us to camp, just asked that we buy some beers at their bar. Bought a few because they're really good...

We parked behind the main building and connected to one of four outlets with our extension cord. Shower, toilets with running water. They had internet, but the connection was very slow. Otherwise, fantastic!

JT, the owner, and the staff here are great. Comfortable bed. Double $27, cold shower, fan, awesome black sand beach across the street, easy walk into town for groceries and 2 ATM's. Restaurant and bar here are delicious and reasonably, moderately priced. Fresh brewed beer by JT are yummy, too!
