Great spot! It has an awesome view, cool rocks, and a short path/trail down around the rocks. I stayed with one other camper for one night.

Amazing spot, get there before sunset!!! Slept there with our 19 feet van and another tent slept there too. Very safe

Great spot. Some folks coming and going briefly during the day. Quiet at night. An RV was here as well my first night. A pickup with a trailer came my second night. Some sherif vehicles came for a bit during the day but didn’t talk to me. Recommend.

Report Check-In

Nice spot for the night and enough room for several big rigs or vans/cars, although not all will be level. Showed up around noon and stayed till 8:30am—no issues. Some cars stopped by for the view and a van showed up around 9pm for the night. It’s usually a very nice view of the coast and landscape but the fog was really thick while there. Was able to watch some crows and sparrows play in it though and it was quite the show because of how windy it was too.

This location is on private property without signage and is permanently closed. Check private property mapping for confirmation. We were called in to the police by one of the property owners. Very polite officer. We saw the police speaking with some people in a van the next night too. The officer informed us of many legal pullouts on the 1 just South of Dillon. Less traffic too.

Report Check-In

As described wonderful pullout with beautiful expansive vista of rolling farm hills, ocean, and coo rock formations with birds living in the rock and singing a wonderful song as the fly around. 1 night with no issues, couple other campers space for a few, couple bars ATT

Beautiful spot beside Elephant Rock with ocean views. Quiet during the night but busy road in the morning. No facilities and patchy T-moblie phone signal.

Report Check-In

Very quiet, spacious, and gorgeous! Highly recommend this spot for a night.

Report Check-In

What a view! Spent a quiet night here. A truck showed up around midnight for a while to star gaze. Early morning people showed up for sunrise pictures. A couple level spots if you get here early. A good night sleep.

Report Check-In

excellent spot with an amazing view. The pullout is big enough to be well off the road. It was was empty when I was here.

Wow. Gorgeous. One of the best spots I’ve ever camped at.

Says closed on the app but I came by anyways and it was perfect. No one here and a beautiful view over some hills to the ocean.

Just passed by on way to Dillon Beach CG. Several people there, and I didn’t see any “no” signs.

The spot was marked as closed but decided to still check it out since there’s not much in the area. There was one camper already there with no truck. Stayed the night and had no problems, amazing view!

definitely not closed. it's a nice pull out on side of the road. ATT and Verizon service, not a lot but enough

Gorgeous spot at Elephant Rocks. (They really do look like elephants.) Quite a few folks came to watch the sunset. Otherwise quiet and nice. There's a bathroom down the road at the beach. Worker let me use it without paying the day use fee.

Report Check-In

Gorgeous spot. Lots of cars watching sunrise but then gets quieter overnight. Maybe 6-7 cars stayed overnight. With a schoolie in the smaller parking lot down the road.

Report Check-In

Beautiful space big enough to fit 5-8 cars. No issues.

Incredible spot - big dirt lot next to some really cool rocks. Distant but beautiful ocean view and no traffic noise. Decent Verizon reception (2-3 bars LTE. Awesome view of the night sky

Report Check-In

Large pullout with beautiful views of the San Andreas fault heading out to sea. Occasional cars on this road, even at night, but much quieter than Hwy 1.

A police officer and maintenance worker stopped in the morning to set up for some road maintenance, and the officer said they are pretty laid back about overnight RVers in this area. They’ll kick out noisemakers or those who try to set up residence, but as long as you don’t stay a week, and are reasonably quiet, nobody will bother you.

Parked here with 4 other vans and RVs but there was plenty of space between us to not feel crowded. Traffic picked up around 7am on Saturday.

Report Check-In

Amazing spot! I shared this spot with 3 other vans and it was no problem. The sunset over elephant rock and the ocean is beautiful. Big plus that you're surrounded by cows. Traffic dies just after sundown and comes back around 6am.

Report Check-In

Came early for the great sunset and was told to leave after two hours by some random guy in a cowboy hat with two vehicles with him to back him up. Seems like a spot for the locals to hang. Do not recommend

2 very nice pullouts in the way to Dillon beach. No prohibitive signs. One bigger, one smaller, the bigger one has a very cool private spot on the left (watching the ocean. Cool view on the bay and the ocean and amazing sunset!
