Description

From highway 87, after close to a 1 mile from the Shell station that is on the right side, turn left on Crystal Beach Road and drive through. The beach is upfront. Vehicles on the beach, packed sand. We parked on the beach with our small van , no problem . 21 feet RV also there. Very friendly surroundings. Not much noise but the sound of waves .We saw dolphins and nice sunsets. You need a beach pass sold at local retailers , 5$ for early birds or 10$. Very quiet. Assez tranquille.

Warning: I’m in a dually Sprinter van and just got stuck in the sand. I’ve tried everything to get unstuck but it’s just digging me further into the sand. Having to call a wrecker to get me out. I’m only 4ish feet off the hard pack too. Very surprised it got stuck. Fair warning to any other fellow Sprinters! Beware.

Camping with my Promaster on the Beach. The weekend was busy but today Monday it's quiet. some idiots driving back and forth playing their deep base that blows the doors off everything. they seem to be gone now though.

Beach camping but not wilderness. Houses line the beach behind the dunes. Good access with packed sand, see many cars. Some seaweed wanted on shore and a few shells. Trash bins line the beach. Permit req'd but couldn't buy one anywhere, they said just go and have fun. Probably due to off-season. Good Verizon LTE
