Amazing spot right on the lagoon. It’s really hard to find a nice spot like that in Bacalar. Marcos the owner of the land is really nice and let us sleep here. They have a gate that closes from 7pm to 8am so we were by ourselves by the lagoon. They left a restroom open for us. We actually slept with the van doors open with just a bug net. It was amazing and felt extremely safe! It’s very clean so please keep it that way and respect their rules if you decide to come here.

Wonderful camping spot on the shores of Lake Bacalar. We could reverse the van right up to the lake and open the doors over the water. Wonderful! $150 pesos per person per night. No showers, but who cares when’s there’s such a beautiful lake!
Report Check-InThe place was packed with families (and coolers) on a Sunday afternoon, but at 18:00 sharp everyone was gone, including employees. We had our quietest night since Christmas.
Paid MXN 350: MXN 25 per person daytime entrance fee (no palapa) and MXN 150 per person for camping. Restaurant food is expensive and mediocre (hence the coolers): bring your own food and beer.
(It's easy to find. Coordinates are correct, and there's a big sign at the turnoff from the main road.) No WiFi, no Telcel coverage.
Report Check-InGoogle puts this location in the lagoon and when I tried to follow the route the road disintegrated.
