Primitive hike-in only sites, group tent sites and drive in sites. No hookups. Primitive camping. Hiking trails and mountain bike trails as well as a 7mile paved trail.
Report Check-InVery large park with multiple nature trails, a paved (asphalt) walking path, miles and miles of bike trails in the back of the park(my suggestion is to NOT venture on these without a map, it is very likely you will get lost)
A nice children’s playground, multiple shelters with charcoal grills available for reservation), restrooms, a decent sized campground, an education center (used mostly for schools/camps),
I’ve seen deer, armadillos, hawks, cardinals and other birds.
This is a beautiful and relatively cheap place to rent camp. But BEWARE OF THEFT. While we were at the beach for the day some one stole all of our camping belongings left at our campsight (stove, chairs, pots, cooler, ECT.). Park staff was no help, and claim they are not responsible for items in the campground. This was a huge surprise to us, as we have been leaving similar items in established campgrounds like this all across America for the past year with no problems. It was really heartbreaking to loose our essential belongings that have been with us the whole journey, and get no answers from park staff. So seriously, do not leave anything unattended, even for a little bit, even your old crappy pot...
