Description

We were allowed to stay at the bus parking lot. It was during the week and not many people were there. We did the excursion with a nice guide and enjoyed it a lot! Also the thermal pools are nice because the water has a great temperature and the view is amazing.

We were allowed to stay at the bus parking lot. It was during the week and not many people were there. We did the excursion with a nice guide and enjoyed it a lot! Also the thermal pools are nice because the water has a great temperature and the view is amazing.

You are no longer allowed to camp at the Termales. Unfortunately, we paid the exorbitant price for this mediocre termal, justifying that it was free camping after the woman at the ticket counter told us that we were OK to camp in the bus parking lot.

At 12.30am the security guard knocked on our door and told us that we were not allowed to camp there. When I told him I had permission from the ticket booth, he told me that the ticket booth agent was wrong, that he didn't care that we had permission, and that if I didn't leave he would call the police.

As described. Very quiet at night.
There are restroom facilities at entrance of the Termales.

Report Check-In

The termales entrance is 45 000 $ for people more 1m20, half price between 1m20 and 90 cm and free under 90 cm. Maybe it's because it's holidays but it's very extensive for a family! We sleep on the parking it was quiet at night and child can play in the cold river.

Now 38k per person, any time of day, no 2x1 deals.

We got a later entry deal to San Vincent for 30k.

Report Check-In

Only parked here to enter the hot springs. Looks like a good flat place to camp. During low season from Monday-Thursday, the hot spring entrance fee is two for one. We paid 23,000 for the two of us. We loved it. Apparently, it gets very full on weekends and holidays.

Didn't camp here but went to the Balneario and it was insanely crowded - literally hundreds of people. We were here the week after New Years so that's probably why. Also very expensive. 38k a person for not very hot pools and really basic/dirty facilities (no showers in the bathrooms - have to use showers outside which are public and cold).

Be carefull : attempt tamper in our camper when the night falls !
Fortunately, we were inside...
The guard told us that the problem was known !

Report Check-In

Was told it was open until 1130 but the actual gate to enter the termals closes at 10 pm. They also politely asked us to leave at that time. We were drunk so no option of driving, spent the night and no guard hassled us. May have just been the one employee who has a problem with overlanders, a large motor home was also parked for the night next to us without a problem. I'd say go for it. Pricey (36,000 for adults) but most scenic hot springs with a 80 meter waterfall flowing above the pools.

Report Check-In

There was no problem staying here, guards were really nice. There is also a bathroom behind the ticket booth. WiFi inside the termas. Free

Report Check-In

Hotsprings are great and they let us stay the night here. Very quiet.

Gravel lot just outside the first main gate. Talked to security and they said it was free and safe to camp. Went to the Balneario vs the hotel up the street based on the urging of every local we met, several pools with a slight variation in temp, all warm to hot, beautiful colder waterfall, 32k per person, we did it the Colombian way and went at night which was great, very social.

Report Check-In

Parking lot near pretty river outside hot springs. Free. No amenities. We went to termales de Santa Rosa hotel beautiful but very pricy, 84,000 for 2 adults! The balenerio is cheaper at 23,000 each. A little noisy with cars driving by.

Report Check-In

Outside entrance to Santa Rosa Thermals. Large gravel parking area. Fine to spend night here. Free. No facilities.
There are two sets of thermals inside the gate. The Baleanero is just inside the gate. We went to the hotel which is a bit more upscale(N4 50.269 W75 32.928). Entry is COP 23,000 per person. Several hot pools with waterfalls running into the pools. Bar, cafe and posh restaurant. No overnight parking at hotel or baleanero. Free WIFI.
