Fantastic wild camping spot! When the weather was calling for high wind warnings in Ushuaia, there was practically none here. Lots of trees, lakeside, great view, intermittent 3G reception. The road in is rough with deep potholes and ruts in the mud. Come from the north side road. 4x4 is best, but if you choose your route carefully, could be fine without. We had a little fox come right up to the camper!

really good spot. The road in from the south is closed now unless you have a 4x4 to get through a ford (river crossing). the road from the north is fine but there are a couple and one is easier than the other.

Perfect location to camp. Lots of trees to block the wind or setup a hammock.

Beautiful spot !
It’s wind protected under the trees and very quiet !

Very beautiful place, we stayed 2 very quiet nights. It has barbecue grills and motorhome and tent camping is allowed.

Lugar lindo demais, ficamos 2 noites bem tranquilas. Possui churrasqueiras e é permitido motorhome e acampar com barraca.

Good spot. It is tempting to camp close to the lake, but probably safer to stay deeper in the forest in case the wind picks up. We were there during the weekend so there was some noise pollution from locals. There is a lot of space so should be no problem to keep a distance.

Nice and quiet place and near the pretty lake, you can get good shelter from the wind if you are with a rooftop tent. No signal. Locals who came during the day left before sunset and only overlanders stayed for the night. In the evening and in the morning a police car passes by on the road above the camp, but I think they just check up on the place, they didn’t come down to the camp.

Beautiful wild camp spot at the lake shore. Very quiet, no facilities. There are some locals around, but usually only during the day. 4x4 recommended if it's muddy after rain.

Beautiful wild camping spot directly on the lake. Fire pits, no signal, no facilities. We used the water from the lake to wash the dishes and brush our teeth. It was so quiet! We have been there on a sunny Friday and there was nobody than us. Definitely recommend it!

Great spot, sheltered and pretty

Lots of locals, they all set up their camp as close to you as possible as usual… but all friendly. Some serious improvised set ups, literally bringing the kitchen sink!

No signal

Water is good to be filtered.

Great camp spots right on the lake. lots of room and fire pits. We had the place to ourselves. You can hear the highway a little but not much traffic at night.

Report Check-In

Very beautiful campsite indeed! Lots of places between the trees and next to the water. Unfortunately we were here on a Sunday and it was insane so we did not stay here.

Good for a night. Going to the south, after the police station take the road to Hostería El Petrel. In the Office of tourist information told us It is one of the places where is allowed firepits and camping.
The others are Río Cambaceres, Río Yabela, Río lasifashaj in the road J to Ea. Harberton.

Report Check-In

it's not a campground, more a barbeque areal. no facilities, bumpy access road, but still good for an overnight stay.

Report Check-In

Plenty of spots alongside the lake until abondoned Hosteria Petrel. Firepits and wood everywhere. Muy tranquillo.
