No overnight camping sign posted

Nice spot, as everyone else said. A few cars went by but otherwise quiet. You can’t go past the gate. 2 bars + decent LTE on T-Mobile

Report Check-In

Great location, only ones here the whole time we stayed

Report Check-In

Quiet spot immediately off of the road. I arrived at 11pm and didn’t realize the pull off was the parking lot until after seeing the gate with heaps of “no trespassing” signs, which caused me to get out and take a look around.

I was the only car there on a Friday night. Surprising since the national park is just a few miles down the road.

Double check the navigation. I ended up at a private hunting area on a very muddy road about 30 minutes away before realizing that my directions were off. Believe I used the Google Maps link here, but it was late and could have been user error.

They’ve built a gate to prevent access into the park, but you can still park at the trail head. You can sleep pretty well here and can fit 4 vehicles or maybe one large rv and one vehicle. One other car here the night I stayed

Report Check-In

Stayed two nights. Lovely short wooded walk to the creek. Very busy. Several cars coming and going both days all day and one other van the first night. Minimal road noise and some phone signal. Trash and recycling bins.

Report Check-In

Stayed one Friday night and had the place to ourselves. Some people showed up starting around 6am to canoe, including a park ranger who did not bother us. Nearby Congaree park visitor center has some potable water but it’ll require you to carry jugs about 100 yards.

Report Check-In

A gravel dirt parking lot for Bannister Bridge Canoe Access, part of Congaree NPS.
do not go onto the road past the lot - “no trespassing” signage on the trees there. Just stay in the canoe access lot and it’s fine. Very quiet and not many cars passing by the road at night. No one bothered me. Had 2 bars Verizon

The next day some residents (I’m assuming) began the process of what looks like building a gate for their private road. Most likely the road to their property will be gated off from the parking lot

Report Check-In

Quiet, wooded parking lot by the canoe access. Drove down the dirt road first, but there were two no trespassing signs. We passed someone coming out and he asked what we were doing back there and directed us back to the lot. Please be courteous of people’s private property and don’t park back there. The parking lot was great

Report Check-In

Stayed in the flat open area right by the road. Couple cars passed by during the night, but overall pretty quiet. No issues. No amenities.

Spotty Verizon 4G service.

Report Check-In

Good spot very close to Congaree. There are no trespassing signs posted along the dirt road back from the parking lot so we opted to stay in the lot itself and no one bothered us. Beautiful star gazing and lots of bird activity if that’s your thing.

Report Check-In

Small dirt road leading back to dead end with multiple pull outs for overlanders and vans. No large rvs. Very quiet at night. Close to Congaree National Park.
