Latest Check-Ins

Came here around 4pm no one around. Some trucks came by the water probably to fish. Had a nice quiet evening but around 2am, a guy close by on a campsite starting yelling. Sounded like he was talking to us but can’t be to sure. We woke us up anyway. We didn’t sleep for a while. Nothing happened but it was a pretty weird situation, don’t know if he was drunk, high or whatever. We packed up everything in case we would have need to move quickly. Either than that, very nice spot. Fire ban when we came so only gas stove allowed.

Very relaxing spot out by the water!! Enjoyed seeing the deer (30+ of them) and the sunsets. Not the most level but would definitely come back if in the area.

6 great spots. multiple trees for a hammock and several spots for a tent. If you are using a tent, you could probably just park your car by the restrooms and walk the short 30 yards into the level trees if the 6 spots are occupied.
Lots of deer. Great area!

Report Check-In

autiful views of the lake and 6 great spots, each (except the 2nd from the bathroom) with a covered picnic table and fire ring.

The most level spots are the two closest to the bathroom and the one furthest from the bathroom. We were able to get level in the spot with the table labeled “3” in our 21’ camper but anything longer than 24’ or so would need levelers. The spots with tables labeled 4 and 2 are the most un-level so if you are going to set up a tent in the grass anyway, maybe take one of those to leave the more level spots for camper vans/ rvs.

There’s a dumpster down by the boat ramp. Pit toilets. Camp host made a couple rounds in a white pickup. There is a guy in a red pickup truck running his generator non-stop that was mentioned in a review 1.5 years ago on another site was still here! Yes stayed in his cab except to tend to the genny, yes seemed odd, but no, was not an issue. Could barely hear it two sites down and not at all in our van. However if he’s here and you are in a tent, the noise may be an issue for you if you set up close to him.

Otherwise it’s a great place to stay with grassy areas for tents and dogs to run around and even though only 2 bars, the lte speed is fast! Average 10mbps.
